Many of the Queen fans who don't like the idea of Adam singing with the band have praised Marc Martel - which makes sense, because he's a good singer - but it makes me wonder if the Queen diehards prefer him over Adam because his vocal tones sound eerily close to Freddie's. Is that what they want, a Mercury sound-alike? Even if the singer has none of Freddie's emotion?
Speaking only for myself, I'd rather hear Adam, with all of his vocal powers and ability to deliver songs with passion, interpreting the Queen music catalog in his own unique, fresh way. With all due respect to Marc, the music deserves to be sung by someone who offers more than a copy (although it's a very good copy) of the Freddie sound. There can be only one Mercury. Just like there's only one AFL.I think they like Martel because He is safe! He is imitating Freddie! Although his voice is fantastic, he lacks the emotion and soul that both Freddie and Adam sing those songs with. IMO, they are scared shitless of Adam. They are afraid he will sound better and get high praise. How would we feel if we finally heard someone else sing WWFM better than Adam?! :-/ Another reason why they don't like Adam is because the AI connection. The reality tv connection so few of them said he's a karaoke singer. Brian was not supportive of reality tv competition before, maybe becoz the way Simon's exploited it in UK who knows. And maybe Brian now changes his mind and realized that it's not easy to get sign by a label and if not because of AI Brian & Roger won't know that there's an extraordinary singer like Adam. But personally who cares what their opinion is. In every fan bases there's always entitled fans. They feel entitle of the band and they feel like they have a say or two to what the band should and shouldn't do. Like Adam said back in 2009, Entitlement is not Sexy!!! |

I'm back on page 16 but I wanted to tell you my Fault Magazine was in my mail when I got home today! So don't get discouraged because I think they have all been sent and everybody should be getting them soon. 
At least one for Portland too. I received my copy today and it is beautiful!
