A Viennese Waltz is generally between 150-180 beats per minute, so nirvana is well within this range. Although 160 bpm might be too fast for the typical social dancer, but it is easily done by more advanced dancers.

Nirvana does have a 6/8 feel to me also. Just listening to the major beats and counting them 1 - 2, one hears a lower toned accent on 1 and a higher toned accent on 2 (bass guitar I'm guessing). In between each of these major 1-2 beats you can hear a definite 1-2-3 triplet which says the dance is a Waltz. (The triplets can be heard much better with ear phones on.)

International Viennese Waltz, which, in contrast to American Viennese Waltz is done totally in closed hold position, has a rather 6/8 feel in the foot work and body action. I do a different foot work for the first half of the box (counts 1-3) than for the second half of the box (counts 4-6). Plus on one half I am the active partner going strong around my partner and in the other half I am the passive partner letting my partner come strongly around me. The 6/8 feel of Nirvana really makes me feel this action in my body.

A Slow Waltz has a different technique and a different feel. It has much more strong 3/4 feel.

I was just planning to skim through the pages at the end of this long and exhausting day, see if anything big happened, like, idk, another new song ( I'm a spoiled Adam fan, what can I say) ...

Why didn't I? Well, because of NoAngel's essay and the impact it made on the whole thread. Like a drop falling into a mirror of water, it sent ripples of love and respect that you guys have for each other. ( I'm a bit shy to say we here, but that's what I really mean- we)

I love it how sometimes exactly that happens on these pages - the slight re-shift of focus from Adam to his lovely fans and their interaction.

And that little love affair between Mr. Lambert and Ms. NoAngel? I totally see it, no way you can hide it, lady :D :D :D Your NAE avi was just a start and you two are in the middle of your honeymoon phase right now :D It almost makes me forget that I'm not going to be able to enjoy your Sunday essays for two months. The two songs I couldn't get out of my head the whole day, that I kept humming into my chin, comforting myself a little bit ( I don't feel well when I'm deprived of my Adam time ) were BTR, of course, and surprisingly, Take Back. I'm belatedly loving that song.
