JazzRocks, I just saw the final HDD numbers too and have to disagree. #25 11K and -52% is frankly terrible IMO. FYE dropped 9% (51K to 46K) in its third week of release. That was the holiday shopping season instead of June, but still. -52% this week on top of -71% last week is just bad.
After three weeks, Trespassing has sold about 110K. FYE had sold about 295K after three weeks.

I do requests 2-3 times a week click Adam's songs, if on list, and maybe one other song, and usually a short note about hearing it or album #1. They can't help but know I'm an Adam fan |

FYE had sold about 295K after three weeks. Hey I was trying to be positive. LOL I know the typical 3rd week fall is about 40% but I was expecting more than that so 52% didn't seem too bad. I'm not sure it makes sense to compare FYE sales after 3 weeks with Trespassing because of all the hype after Idol. All the Idol viewers snatched it up - it's a different world now for Adam. He has to rebuild. And YAY for 4 CHR adds so far. Also eywflyer I've been accused of being less than positive in the area of radio & sales so I'm wearing my rose-colored glasses more frequently now. Not all the time - heh - but more frequently. |
