Yay for the adds! whee \o/  I seem to remember some highly anxious posters because Boston and Philly didn't add yesterday, even though that is the HAC add day. It may be petty to point this out, but heh....okay I'm petty.
Also kittykay, I agree. As several posters have pointed out it's "comfortable" for those who want share concerns here.
It does seem a bit unbalanced compared to what I'm hearing from those who follow numbers closely elsewhere, and who didn't have outsized expectations of Adam's sales and airplay performance to begin with. After all, NCOE is slowly climbing in airplay and Trespassing's sales are what most numbers watchers were predicting months ago. But people enjoy it, I guess.

I see Z100 added some guy Olly Murs, another X Factor contestant. What's with the X Factor invasion? One Direction, Cher Llolyd, now this guy. And Z100 is the only station that added his song btw, must be some major payola going on. I just listened to the song and it's not that great, imagine that. I guess Z100 will wait to see if NCOE can make it to the top 40 before they add. They definitely are in no hurry to play him this era. I'm glad Philly and Boston finally added, but he's going to need a lot more new spinners to get this song into the top 40.

What she said  I don't post here because I know nothing about numbers and depend on our trusty experts to spell things out in small words. I feel a bit shy to be here. But I do follow a lot of musicians/bands and based on that experience, I'm actually feeling quite positive about progress so far. That Trespassing has done as well as it has w/out a big single to buoy it says a lot and it is very early days for this album. (And if I have to chose - I'll take longevity over early burst.) No Pollyanna I - I've been pleasantly, frankly surprised at the consistently great buzz going on in the mainstream - he's really being treated like a force to be reckoned with even by those who give him mixed reviews - and most of those mixed reviews still show respect for him as an artist. And the buzz seems to be continuing. I think Adam is increasingly difficult to ignore, even for the most reactionary. NCOE is on its way up - and when it hits (I'm having trouble typing with my crossed fingers), I'm going to give up any/all worry and just play words with friends w/all my new free time  |

Um, rabbitrabbit, I am an Adam fan. I have been since AI. It is kind of offensive that you are even equating a few of us who are not celebrating over the album numbers with people who don't fit "must be an Adam fan" criteria. That kind of sucks. I don't think sales of less than 115K at week three are that great, sorry. But, it does not make me any less of a fan.
Not all of us are the rainbows and flowers and "personal testimonial" type of people.

This is NOT meant to be testy. I am thrilled with Q102 add - auto or otherwise. But I do have a question. Is there a different prognosis for spins if it is an auto add as a result of a decision to add. Please bear in mind I know from nothing so if the question is too naive, please ignore it.
