It's not my type of music but quite frankly, "Home" is a good song! Probably the best coronation song ever. Perfect for HAC!

"Home" is a good song; sounds like Mumford and Sons to me, which isn't a bad thing.
Obviously, it is doing quite well.

I guess for me, the difference is that WTMX is embracing the PP song so strongly. That is unusual. They never played No Boundaries. Actually, they haven't played an Idol song (that isn't from the usual suspects) since WWFM. I bet they played that rainbow song from Cook! lol Home is a good coronation song that sounds just like Mumford and Sons had a baby with Coldplay. People are going to jump on it for a while. The song is not really Pop, though, so it will be interesting to watch what Pop stations do with it. Another thing to consider, the song has Interscope instead of RCA behind it. They seem to be doing better here lately with the artists they signed from Idol. Jimmy and his team seem to have some pull with radio.

Totally forgot about the Interscope thing. I think there is something to that.

Hasn't it also sold over 300K in just 2 weeks? That's not bad at all. Whether the interest will still be there in the fall and depending on what his album sounds like, that's another story. But, overall, Interscope does pretty good with radio promotion.

Doesn't the trajectory of NCOE remind you of WWFM....the spread of stations adding & spinning over an extended period of time? By the time new stations add others have slowed their spins. I think many numbers ppl thought WWFM could have charted higher if more stations had been on the same timeline.
I'm not angsting here. At this point I hope NCOE does as well as WWFM.

I still hear it on the radio, and also IIHY. I agree with the early adder spinning then decreasing. That's why WWFM never went any higher. If we could get all ststions to add and play somewhat at the same time, we would have a definite winner. I follow twitter a lot. Every time, someone asks for a vote in a tweet or retweet. I go and vote. Everytime I vote, and percentages are shown, Adam is always winning. I wish Atlanta would add, so I can do my voting. I do Q102 top 10 at 10 everysingle evening. It's become a ritual. Wish Atlanta did something like that. But I noticed Atlanta stations are Cumulous stations.

The HAC station here in Dallas has decreased their spins. They were an early adder. Apparently 4 early adders have decreased their spins. I have requested on the Dallas station website and they have an option for a text alert when it plays. Previously, I would get a text within a few hours that it was playing. I've been requesting for over 24 hours and nothing. I'm grateful to my local station for jumping on board early but if there aren't other stations jumping on board and spinning enough to move this song up the chart, I can't blame them either for bailing. It also doesn't help that it's currently sitting at #187 on the pop chart on iTunes. It's not selling. I've just never had a good feeling about this song. Yes, musically it's better than a lot of other songs that are out there and that are popular but the reason it's never clicked with me is this song just didn't feel like "Adam" to me. Had nothing to do with the fact he didn't write it cause I absolutely love Naked Love. That song is full of Adam's personality. NCOE just sounds like a Bruno song that is sped up. To me, it just doesn't have any of Adam's personality in it and that's probably why I can't connect to it. That may be the same problem others are having. Trespassing, Cuckoo and NL all had Adam's sassy personality all over them. Unfortunately the two songs that seemed to be completely devoid of what people loved about Adam, are the very songs that the label decided to push as singles. My daughter is a good example of what non-fans might be perceiving from his first two singles. She didn't like either one of them and after listening to NCOE she said that Adam needs to find music that's him. She has no interest in buying his album after hearing his singles. It makes me wonder how many other people are reacting the same way. I really wish RCA could have been braver and put out TP and Cuckoo or NL as the singles instead. Oh well. Does anyone think Adam will get a third single if NCOE flops? :-/ I think it's too early to wonder about a third single. We have no way of knowing. All we can do is request but...we've been doing that, for almost six months now, for both singles. Adam and the fans have done all they can. It's up to the label to push Adam to radio and I just don't see that happening. He had enough buzz around him when he released new music to get airplay, but they didn't get it. I mean c'mon, record labels can get airplay for foreign talent show contestants (OllyMurs, Cher Loyd) and they can't get it for Adam? Fans are getting tired. I know I am cause I've requested till I'm blue in the face. The people who are getting paid to do this need to step up their game. I know Adam did those radio shows but that only helped marginally for a regional area of the states. Other than Idol and one late night appearance on Kimmel, where was all of the TV promo for the album release? He was booked for 2 late night shows that both have a small audience, Chelsea Handler and the Bravo show, neither of which involved a performance. Oh, and GMA. So only 2 performances with any kind of substantial audience. The Idol audience who already knows about him and GMA- the housewife audience. That was the extent of it.
