LMAO - if there is one phrase I could remove from Adam's vocabulary it would be "are you guys having fun" ... "I'm not cool enough to work with Pharrell" would have to go first Hahaha... I'm with you there. . I LHSFM!

I was listening to Trespassing today -- for the 1,000th time more or less -- and I was struck by how much I love this album. I would love it even if I did not know the artist or who he is. I stopped working for a moment and just listened.
"Excuse me..."
While I was listening to it one of my Research Assistants came into my office -- yes I was "working" -- and she said -- "OH that's Adam Lambert, he's great." I smiled, agreed and proceeded to get back to work. We started to discuss the project she was working on. Then my RA interrupted and said the most amazing thing -- she is 21 or so -- "I hope I get to see Adam live someday. I have read that he's great live." I wondered if I should come out -- decided WTF -- "Yes, he's great." She looked at me in amazement and said -- "You've seen him?" I said yes. We chatted a bit and I told her I was going to see him when I was in London when he performed with Queen. She only vaguely knew who Queen is. Never heard of Freddy Mercury. But was amazed that I was going to see Adam.
It was a bit of a reality check for me. Freddy probably died before she was born. She knew the music but it was historic to her. The punchline -- "I think my grandparents are Queen fans."

but.. but.. UK also likes US singers who can't sing :-/ Well, yes, alas, tis true. But still, there was that lovely aspect about someone in Royal Albert Hall tweeting today that they were next to a family so impressed by Adam's ability, who had never heard of him, say "Oh, he must be huge.". Obviously, because Adam is so talented. And there is a swath of UK audience that have this idea, oh, singers should sing, which leads to Boy Bands that can actually sing. FHS... I also LOVE Ronan Keating ;D

And is first time I've really heard the bass line get decent prominence on Trespassing, so yay for that! YAS! Why isn't it always like that? The bass line is everything on this song I thought the sound mix and/or volume of the various intruments/band was great - especially with short notice and lets Adam's vocals be the centerpiece....

Just changed my avi -- will change it back once my Fault arrives.......if it ever does!
Oh, wanted to comment on the Trespassing video -- notice that when the band is clapping that no one is playing -- Adam is singing all on his own....just never noticed that before.

Queen had so many wonderful songs and Adam truly can bring them to a new audience. :D

.. I also LOVE Ronan Keating ;D A great voice. Can't imagine that Ronan Keating fans won't find something to love about Adam. And yay, Q3, for calm, tasteful "coming out" to RA. Laughed so hard at Grandparents for Queen. But it's true.
