...personally, I have come to loathe, "ladies and gentlemen" because it just sounds so...stilted, I guess. He's usually so charismatic and original that when he does use a more typical/trite expression, I find myself going, "arrrrwhoooo?" with the Scooby-Doo head tilt because it just doesn't sound like, well, Adam. ETA: Personally, I'm voting for "Banshee girls and dancey boys...are you getting DOWN???" I personally prefer "are you ready to party tonight, motherf*uckers" or "dance bitches!" But those probably work better when he's not wearing a suit.

I think we should really start an "Are you guys having fun?" That is worth 3 drinks a concert! How about 1 drink , I do not want to miss the end of the concert ;D I do love how his banter/interaction this time around is much more relaxed.........except for THIS ONE question to the audience. I should not criticize him I guess since I have not lived in West Virginia for over 30 plus years and I still say "Hi Ya'all!" ;D

Better than being called a ho. I think he gave an incredible performance.. he was really working it. The man is so heads and tails above most performers that all I really want him to do is sing.. Idle chatter isn't why I have gone to his concerts . I can listen to my friends, children and DH for idle chatter.LOL

Or when he's doing a concert for sick children : Yes, I cringed a tiny bit when he dropped the f-bombs in Cuckoo knowing there were kids in the audience. I do wish there was a "clean" version of the song so I could let my kids listen to it (although sometimes I just turn that part down real quick if we're listening in the car). Guess I'll have to wait for the radio edit!

We chatted a bit and I told her I was going to see him when I was in London when he performed with Queen. She only vaguely knew who Queen is. Never heard of Freddy Freddie Mercury. But was amazed that I was going to see Adam. It was a bit of a reality check for me. Freddy Freddie probably died before she was born. She knew the music but it was historic to her. The punchline -- "I think my grandparents are Queen fans." That's interesting. I have frequent occasion to be around a large number of college students. I don't think there's a one of them that doesn't know who Queen or Freddie Mercury are. To them, Queen is like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Eric Clapton - giants who defined their genres and cast very long shadows indeed. A lot of them listen to this music at parties and events and think the world of these artists. I have misspelled Freddie's name for 40 years of fandom. I am glad that Adam is simple to spell. **** When I was growing up I knew Frank Sinatra and Elvis and the Beach Boys -- but that was not "my" music. I appreciated them. I think it is the same now for a 20 year old with the classic rock era artists. I now work at a University. I live with 19/22-somethings most of my day. They know Bohemian Rhapsody from "Wayne's World" and "We Are the Champions" from sports events. They do not know Queen. For example -- I lectured to an E-Commerce class about the use of social media in politics and used the Obama 1984 commercial. They thought it was OK. Then one student asked a question about it that revealed that he had never seen the Apple 1984 commercial. I quickly subtracted and released that that commercial was broadcast over 28 years ago. I went to the Internet, grabbed the Apple commercial and showed it on the big screen -- not one of my 48 students had ever seen that Apple commercial. >> I am way off of Adam News -- so let me bring it back to Adam. I think the Queen concerts are great for Adam but I also recognize that these concert are probably not that important to an American 18 year old. What mattered to me was my 21 year old RA was impressed by ADAM not by Queen.
