I wonder about the sound problems too! He sounded fabulous as always, but for me, it took a tiny bit away from his performance to see him directing the soundman as often as he did, instead of being totally focused on his performance. :-/ Thanks to all those who gave us vids and brought them here to share!! I also didn't hear the backup singers very well.. wondering if this is just in the vids and the sound of the backup vocals were better live? Has there been a performance this era where we HAVEN'T seen him gesturing madly to the soundman? (I couldn't hear the backup singers either....) Hmm don't know, but I hope he'll find a solution for those pesky sound issues sooner rather than later and can relax and enjoy performing without the added job stress of sound handler. Curious what happens between soundcheck when they, I assume, take care of any sound problems and actual performance. If they've worked it out, why does he continue to have these issues. I think this may have been covered before, but can't remember now what was said.. ???

Banter is not really Adam's thing. He's not real good at it, lol. Which I used to find so funny because he is AMAZING in interview situations. Honestly, I think it's all the years spent in theater, running the same script night after night, and not being free to improvise and ad-lib.

I don't know how much prep time (with or without Adam) the band and singers had, but I think Adam gave a great performance in spite of them. I hope that someday he can return to that great hall with his band - or a full orchestra - and just be able to concentrate on his singing!
Hmmm... maybe the band for the first half, and the orchestra for the second half, following the format of the album. Then the band back for a big encore. To quote that guy from SNL years ago, "Yeah, yeah... that's it....." ;D

How about 1 drink , I do not want to miss the end of the concert ;D I do love how his banter/interaction this time around is much more relaxed.........except for THIS ONE question to the audience. I should not criticize him I guess since I have not lived in West Virginia for over 30 plus years and I still say "Hi Ya'all!" ;D ladies and gentlemen, IMO"Ladies and Gentlemen" is just perfect. same for "are you having fun?'... a filler is a filler is a filler... :-*Agree!.

Can you just imagine the reputation Adam is getting amongst members of the International League of Professional Sound Guys? Their happy smiles when they get a call letting them know about an assignment quickly turn to ashen-faced terror when they hear it's for Adam. They huddle in nervous little groups at their conferences sharing horror stories about their gigs with him. Working for Adam will be like a rite of passage. A trial by fire. A hazing. Anyone who makes it more than 3 concerts is held in awe....

A smile or thumbs up from Adam will be like the holy grail for them, something to tell their kids, grandkids and apprentices for many years to come.
