I've told this story several times, here. I thought P!NK's banter at her LA show as sooo good and so personal for LA! UNTIL, I bought her DVD of her Australia concerts. Her banter was exactly the same, right down to "forgetting" the lyrics for one of the acoustic songs! And I have told stories about people new to Adam remarking about how his banter really felt personally relatablel and fresh to them. Really, folks, we are the faithful, the cray, the critical-- We love him but we have to remember we are NOT the normal audience. So true! ;D

They were good but I don't think they showed up anyone. Hard to tell with the quality of the videos, but from what I saw, I'd say Isaac, Brian, Ashley, Tommy and the VJJ's have nothing to worry about. And why, even in RAH does Adam still have sound problems!! He was directing that soundman the entire set! :-/ I think it could be the perfectionistic streak that Adam has. At some point, he might have to let go of that control a little when it comes to live settings, especially when it is a short set. Sometimes every little thing being perfect just isn't going to happen 100% of the time, especially when it comes to these types of radio shows. It's probably good to do a few signals to the sound guy during the first song but there is a point where you just have to let go or it could end up distracting from the overall performance. The sound and what he is hearing can not be compromised. We saw what can happen during IIHY in DC! Could you imagine if that had happened today?!!

Think I'll turn in now. Adam was amazing tonight as always. Thanks to all who contributed pics, vids, and live streams for us.

I'm not talking about the sound being compromised or a situation like IIHY. Why take it to the extreme? The IIHY situation has happened twice in the 200+ plugged in sets he has done over the past few years.

well if he's gonna be a diva about something he could do worse than caring about what his audience hears... LOL I hardly think caring about his product is being a diva. He's being a perfectionist and I love him for it. And it's hot! Wasn't meaning diva as a slam - think if he's going to be demanding about something...

Man, I'm sorry I said anything. I forgot, Adam is perfect at everything. And, yes, if not always live, I have watched bits and pieces of some of my favorite artists performing the same concerts. Of course he's not perfect, just damn close! ;D Really though, in the interest of constructive criticism we may get a bit nit picky... We want everyone to love him and his talent as much as we do. I am going to try to just enjoy him as he is, and enjoy the ride... Noone else comes close.

I'm not talking about the sound being compromised or a situation like IIHY. Why take it to the extreme? Because when he motions to the sound guy, it is because he is not hearing things right. It's not something he can let go, just because it's a short set.

Maybe it's just scripted vs. unscripted. Adam feels scripted to me a lot of the time when he talks to the audience between songs. Not a big deal. The concerts I've seen with the great banter were mostly alternative rock acts, completely unscripted. And now I'll drop the whole thing. It wasn't meant to spark a great debate

Just want to encourage people, if the opportunity arises naturally, to make international friends. Like Adam does when he tweets to other acts. Today the headliner act at Royal Albert Hall was JLS. Who played for the Queen at her Jubilee. JLS are a boy band who are GIANT in UK. They have a friggin 3-D movie of their sold out tour coming out this month. I had never heard of them until today. They are basically BoyZone but they look like Hip Hop kids. Cute. And they can really sing. (As could BoyZone. Love Ronan Keating.) Remember, the UK likes singers who can actually sing. So I tweeted: Think that's JLS. Mega Boy Band du jour. @coconutgrove0 Adam at Royal Albert Hall tonight MTV UK pic twitpic.com/9tuo3b And 6 JLS fans retweeted that. One started following me. Her bio says "I live for JLS" and some other even more committed stuff. (She's a teen) Sensing a marketing opportunity, I did some searches on JLS. They're good. Biebs better watch his back. 4 cute guys with actual talent. And YAY ADAM FOR GETTING YOUR PIC WITH THEM. Then I tweeted:
Researched JLS. They're huge, very cute & can actually sing. Surprised not in US. Have 3-D movie coming out. Fab that their fans saw Adam. 11 RT's from JLS fans. One of whom cleverly replied: actually, it's great that Adam fans saw JLS. I tweeted back, of course. (Even though didn't actually see them. But saw vids. They're good.) JLS fans clearly search "JLS" on Twitter all the time. So any chance we have to make friends around the globe, can't hurt to praise their, uh, Idol. This is seriously brilliant!! And here we fans thought we were doing everything by requesting, voting, buying, rearranging displays etc. YOU have thought outside the box and come up with something so very smart!!!!!!!!
