I believe Sunday is a repeat. The show is broadcast at 6pm on Friday evenings on the BBC according to Brits on twitter. Oh I see. He must be on next Friday and rebroadcast next Sunday. Hence the very clever name FRIDAY Download. Can't get one past me!  |

By the way... is John Mayer considered a pop artist? What genre does he fall into? ??? Lullabies - While I own every one of his albums.. this latest one makes me sleepy. |

Thanks all for the convo about singles... side A and Bs, physical singles... etc. While I don't think I'm much younger than those having the convo, my generation is the transitioning generation. My music was on cassettes until I could afford CDs. I don't recall ever owning vinyl, although there was a turntable in the house.

I was just thinking about what it takes to make it in show business and how that relates to Adam.
Adam has a great voice,charisma and intelligence and yet this is not enough. He also has to have tenacity,guts, the ability to handle rejection,exhaustion& hatred from some,because he is gay,endless banal interviews and lack of play by much of radio.
I wonder what keeps our guy engaged ,what keeps him going day after day.. The only answer I can come up with is his passionate love for singing,entertaining and the desire to have an audience to share this love with. Music is the very air he breathes.This is the artist in him and it's never been an easy road for those who dare to be different and who challenge the status Quo.
I love Adam for all that he is and all that he hopes to become.. fan for life.

I don't know if this has been posted yet ... Adam featured on a entertainment program - he even speaks a little in Japanese! I think it's the same program he sang FYE on during promo rounds 2 years ago.. the one where one of the male announcers was touching him and saying he was so strong! This vid has a really cute moment at about 1:30 when they start talking/showing Adam and Sauli - the reaction of the guy in the bubble on the left is hilarious  - the girl just nods and smiles. |
