Finland is definitely a rock and even have metal rock country. Thus we have radios playing only rock, but almost all channels are playing also rock. National channel is Radio Rock. Also many grandmoters are listening rock and heavy metal.
Biggest international names from Finland a more a less rock bands, like Nightwish. Even the only success for Finland in Europen song contest was a heavy metal song (Lordi). And as I recall only rock song that have had success there . Now ya see... that's so interesting!!! No wonder butterfly might be confused about why Runnin would never be played on radio, when Finland is SERIOUSLY ROCKIN from one end of the country to the other!! Maybe you guys should try to get Runnin on one of your rock stations!! ;D

Everything aside, I think we can all agree that the most effective way to help Adam is for fans to request NCOE and not the other singles from the album, yes? Yes, absolutely. Request NCOE. Kind of interesting: I was curious so I googled We are the Champions. Apparently it was released as an A-side with We Will Rock You as the B-side. " In 2009, "We Are the Champions" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame,[5] and was voted the world's favourite song in a 2005 Sony Ericsson world music poll.[6] In 2011, a team of scientific researchers concluded that the song was the catchiest in the history of popular music.[7] WOW! The catchiest song ever!?!?! I believe it! And I get to see Adam sing it live -- 2 times. EEEEEEK!

seoulmate, thank you for your answer. "We Are The Champions' access to sports events makes sense.
fightthesleep: your answer sounded like a very logical and makes sense!
I think I also have problems with it that I do not like 'runnin' at all a rock piece. I've been a big fan of heavy rock, so I do not think 'runnin' fit at all to rock -FIG. Or maybe just because I love both 'runnin' in that it has something to rock music!
and leenaseyez answered already (I take so long to form sentences that I have always been far behind) "just curious, are there popular rock stations in Finland That a lot of people listen to? Or is the most popular pop music / electronic stuff?" -the question!

Talk about what is the single, and what and why it is played on the radio, has been very interesting. And I am very pleased that some of you manage to patiently explain what all about . Maybe now I understand a little more disk / radio business. I would like to know how to "We Are the Champions" became so popular, even though it was a B-side album? So we have an example that "not single / b-side's disc" can be successful worldwide. (Hopefully no one will be angry about this issue! I still remember the conversation that took place a few weeks ago about "runnin '. Some of us suggested it as a new single, but some Atopians became very angry about this wish, to explain the matter in any way. Although I nicely asked for an explanation (I need very clear answers, because of my damn bad language), no one answered. So that I too was afraid of this hostility and I withdrew from the discussion entirely. :-/) Regarding Running...... I think that many Members who know a lot about North American radio airplay did not think it would get Pop radio airplay in the US. I was and remain very doubtful that an album bonus track would ever be released as a single. I searched and could not find one case of this ever happening in the US. But that does not make it impossible, just unlikely. ETA: I agree with you -- I think Runnin' is a pop track, not a rock track and it is listed as pop on most sites I found on Google. But this song has some rock stylings. Like many tracks on Trespassing, they do not easily fit into genre boxes. -- On the B-side hits question. When singles had two sides, the A-side was the song the label thought would be the hit song, the B-side was often a track that was considered unimportant or a version of the A-side song. When the singles were sent to DJs, they had two sides and sometimes the DJs played the B-side and in a few notable cases, this song became the big hit. From wiki: "On a few occasions, the B-side became the more popular song. This was usually because a DJ preferred the B-side to its A-side and played it instead. Examples include "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor (originally the B-side of "Substitute"), "I'll Be Around" by The Spinners (originally the B-side of "How Could I Let You Get Away"), "Maggie May" by Rod Stewart (originally the B-side of "Reason To Believe"), and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" by Beyoncé (originally the B-side of "If I Were a Boy"). More rarely, both sides of the single would become hits, such as Queen's "We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You". Link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-side_and_B-side

Runnin doesn't really fit as a pure rock song, but I think it has just enough of a rock edge to it that pop stations won't play it. And it may take you a little while to form your sentences, but your English is JUST FINE, and we understand everything you say!!!

You saw / notice immediately the important issue (my love for rock influence ..), which I only noticed in my previous writings, and with whom I struggled all the time ....and I didn't understand...
