Has anyone figured out the way a video gets added to VH1's top 20 countdown? I've seen the #'s on NCOE and it's the most played video right now and it has more view's than some of the one's currently on the top 20 and so does BTIKM. In some cases more than twice as many. It's very strange to me!! ??? It has nothing to do with view count. For some odd reason that rumor spread like wild-fire. It has more to do with Chart position, whose video it is and label support. I figure it will be added in a couple of weeks. It's disconcerting to see people spamming the VH1 boards spreading around the 20k view count myth and spamming twitter with the same misinformation. |

It's totally misleading. When Adam had BTIKM up 99.9% of the votes went to him yet the #1-10 received no votes. It's just likw SNOL and Open House Party the so called All Request Music program that doesn't play requests. However, showing popularity for an artist helps way more than it hurts obviously |

LOL! That would leave a mark, look at those spikes! But, if a heavy blow landed to the face of the RUDE person, it would tattoo him with the word EDUR. However, if he looked at himself in the mirror, it would correctly show “RUDE.” Badass ring is badass. Adam rehearsing with Queen now? I’m almost more excited about the time he gets to spend with Dr. Brian May than I am about the actual Queen+Adam Lambert concerts. Almost. I would sell my soul, metaphorically speaking, to tag along with Dr. May for a week or two. Brian May is not only a legend, but, imo, one of the most fascinating men of our generation. I don’t know any other astrophysicists (check out his book “Bang!: The Complete History of the Universe” if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s quite readable and well done). Also, don’t know one other man who is such an expert in vintage photography (specifically stereography) that he’s been an invited guest lecturer by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can also check out his book on the subject: “A Village Lost and Found.” It’s fantastic. I don’t know of one other guy who’s ranked as #26 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and also holds two spots on Guitar World’s 50 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time. I don’t know one other guy who understood Freddie Mercury so well that he could have introduced him to Mary Austin, the woman who would become his lifelong best friend, the one Freddie called his common law wife, and to whom he left the bulk of his estate. Brian May has seen more and accomplished more in his lifetime than I could ever imagine. I especially hope that Adam is invited to spend an evening with Brian in his backyard observatory, and that they have long talks about Life, The Universe, and Everything while gazing at the stars and planets.  I hope that Brian and Adam really “click”, and that Adam is like a sponge, just soaking it all in, both personally and professionally. Oh, to be a fly on that wall! |

This is something that fans should leave to Adam's management and RCA. They will push it on VH1 when they have the right radio in place. They only have 20 weeks max (and probably much less -- WWFM go an amazing 18 week run) on VH1. Why burn it now? My guess is they are a week or two away. Anyway spamming that video is a waste of time and could actually hurt Adam. PLEASE DO NOT DO IT AND DO NOT ENCOURAGE FANS TO DO IT. But playing the video once or twice a day -- is probably an OK thing to do because they look at the number of unique users and the number of user sessions. Look at the #1 album, the UK launch, etc. -- RCA, DMG and all are organizing this release really well. With the notable exception of BTIKM being picked as a single, there is very little to criticize. I strongly recommend that we do what Adam has requested fans do -- request on radio and vote for the OMA Must Follow Artist on Twitter. When he needs us to do something else -- he will tweet a request. He is not shy about asking. NCOE is getting some traction on US and Canadian Pop Radio. Sirius XM is now onboard and their channel 3 "20 on 20" Pop Music Discovery gave it 10 spins yesterday. (SiriusXM X003-FM Mediabase Top 40 US panel). CHUM added and is playing. There are several new spinners. So, check page one and if you have a local station on their, request NCOE. |
