was in newcastle last night ,at my SIL,s birthday party, left at 12.oo ish with bruv,s next door neigbour to let out the (5 between us) dogs out,and he was saying ,it was a great playlist at the party ,lots of queen music and he,s a big fan, and did i know queen had this fantastic new vocalist!!!! of course, he said you wont have heard of him he,s unknown here. so i said whats he called ,trying to wipe the silly grin off my face! of course i had to fes up and say i had seen him live 4 times and was going to 2 of the london concerts , he was so jelus Aww, Love this, lily!!! LOL, if you get a chance to catch this week's Graham Norton with Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry, they're talking a lot about Newcastle – it's very funny. Now I'm confused about when we will get to see Adam's Graham Norton show. Last night on the East Coast we saw an episode with Charlize Theron and they talked about it being the Jubilee weekend. Katy Perry is one of next weeks guests so we seem to be a week behind and I don't think we will get to see Adam until June 30. :(

Giving the v sign with the back on your hand showing is the equivalent of the middle finger in the UK, NZ and Australia.

Just a run-by, but wanted to add my congratulations to Ame!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you, sweetie, you certainly put in the effort. So glad it paid off in the end...
Back to RL...
P.S. As for giving the two fingers to the paps...I suspect they've seen that a time or two. Or a thousand. BFD. Oh, and I learned it from reading Irish chick lit, so...

Adam rehearsing with Queen now? I’m almost more excited about the time he gets to spend with Dr. Brian May than I am about the actual Queen+Adam Lambert concerts. Almost. I would sell my soul, metaphorically speaking, to tag along with Dr. May for a week or two. Brian May is not only a legend, but, imo, one of the most fascinating men of our generation. I don’t know any other astrophysicists (check out his book “Bang!: The Complete History of the Universe” if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s quite readable and well done). Also, don’t know one other man who is such an expert in vintage photography (specifically stereography) that he’s been an invited guest lecturer by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can also check out his book on the subject: “A Village Lost and Found.” It’s fantastic. I don’t know of one other guy who’s ranked as #26 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and also holds two spots on Guitar World’s 50 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time. I don’t know one other guy who understood Freddie Mercury so well that he could have introduced him to Mary Austin, the woman who would become his lifelong best friend, the one Freddie called his common law wife, and to whom he left the bulk of his estate. Brian May has seen more and accomplished more in his lifetime than I could ever imagine. I especially hope that Adam is invited to spend an evening with Brian in his backyard observatory, and that they have long talks about Life, The Universe, and Everything while gazing at the stars and planets. I hope that Brian and Adam really “click”, and that Adam is like a sponge, just soaking it all in, both personally and professionally. Oh, to be a fly on that wall! Thank you for this post...and I'd like to also mention Dr May and his wife's longtime work for/with animals. Absolutely--Brian May is not only brilliant and talented, but also a wonderful, caring person. Remember this video with Percy the hedgehog? You can feel the depth of Brian's concern for the little guy. It brings tears to my eyes.
