What did you find? I am curious as to what it is. Oh - I didn't find out anything! I just thought I'd randomly see what came up - a lot of green necklaces, but nothing that looked like what Adam was wearing Surprise, surprise :D Just like Adam, unique & not mass produced.

I listened to Adele's album today, and it has the best song writing I have ever heard on a female album. I kept imagining Kris singing Love Song and Adam singing Someone Like You. Really got emotional. My husband came trotting through the door with my Adam DVD, and I screamed bloody murder. I had dinner ready, and he looked at me and said "Let's watch Adam." I told you my husband has a crush on Adam which is fine with me because I know he will always go to concerts with me.
I was hopping around the HD 48" TV when Adam started to sing Voo Doo, and I found myself tearing up. Someone else posted that they started crying when Adam started singing Voo Doo too. There must be a note in that song that goes straight to the crying neuron in my brain. I now realize that I have reverted back to 28 years old because I acted like an idiot all the way through the DVD. My husband kept yelling at me to shut up and eat because he wanted to listen to Adam sing, not me.
There is a spot where I could see Adam's arm pit, and I practically swooned. I don't know what Adam's arm pit does for me but it really turns me on. I'm an old lady, and I have seen lots of arm pits in my life. Why does Adam's arm pit send chills up my spinal column? Sometimes I feel like I have lost my mind over a tall, younger than my children, beautiful, earthly spirit sent from another planet. This loving a man younger than my children I blame on the Catholics. I had an irish Catholic upbringing ya know. Its been two years, and I have to pull myself together. They won't know what to do with me when it is time for the nursing home. I refuse to go without my DVD, and I want it in writing that I can watch it once a day at least.
Anyway, I have to buy another DVD for my granddaughter. Hopefully, she will play it for her friends in NY who have not been exposed to Adam, and he will gain some more of the teenage set. He is going to need them for this 40-year career I have planned for him. I am not going to last 40 more years so my granddaughter is going to take over for me.
Chunkey, you get better and better in the humor department. I love to read you. Say hi to my girl JC. Is she still as pretty as she was last year, or has she lost her looks due to all her carrousing (sp.) and drinking? I miss her.
I can't believe no one knows who that guy was snuggled up to Adam in those dozen pictures we saw. There was a time a couple years ago when we all knew when Adam went to the bathroom, and who helped him with his hair. I am nosy as hell, and I need to know these things so I don't spend my time pondering all this useless information. I just don't want to get on The Millionnaire and have Meredith ask me "Who was the guy Adam was snuggled up with at the Party on March 17, 2011. Huh, huh, this info could come in handy someday.
Love to you all. I am going to go watch my DVD, and then I am going to read some awesome fics on LJ.

But, your generation will probably also be the generation that gives the rights to the same people. Think positive! It is coming! Maybe not in my lifetime, but in yours for sure. ETA: I'm not that old, but I know I am quite a bit older than Chunkey. Well I know that it will be here in my lifetime! Change is in the wind -- and it is happening now -- it will not take another 20 years. Sometimes things seem slow, but when you look, things are changing rapidly. Sodomy laws (designed to ban homosexual acts between consenting adults) were not struck down until 2003 with Lawrence v. Texas US Supreme Court decision. It has only been 8 years and now we have legal civil unions or gay marriage in several states, the end of DADT, some employment rights and most large US corporations offer some form of domestic partner benefits. So while not close to perfect, we are making progress. Most importantly, for the first time ever the majority of US voters support equal rights for all Americans -- unrelated to race, gender, sexual orientation, origin or disability. The most recent addition to that list is sexual orientation -- just flipped to the majority opinion in 2009. And it is people who are over 35 who are changing their minds. Having prominent, likable actors, performers, business people, etc. be proudly LGB has made a lot of difference. I am firmly convinced that Adam has changed a lot of people's hearts and minds. He is, of course, not alone, but he broke the gay music industry/radio barrier. Just like Rachael Maddow and Ellen kicked in the TV newscaster/interviewer barriers. JMHO -- I think we will have national legal LBG equality within 10 years and acceptance within 20 years. Less than a generation. (I think that Transgender/Transexual equality is a different matter and will take longer.) I've been thinking about Adam's impact a lot lately. He was so right about safe stereotypes of gays being accepted (Will and Grace's Jack) but Adam encompasses the whole package (no cheap jokes, ladies) because he comes across as so sweet and humble when he talks to people, yet when asked a question that requires a stand, he's forceful and honest. On stage he stalks one minute and struts the next. He lets loose with the sexy, then smiles like an angel. In the end, I don't think he leaves much doubt that he is all these personas and you better get used to it. Brave is always the word that I finally settle on. He puts himself out there and dares you to accept him as he is.

Unrelated to anything, but I was just typing out how to gift the Aftermath Remix to somebody from Adam Official , and thought I'd bring it over here as well. I don't know if we want to have a gifting thread set somewhere ( Q3?) but regardless, these are two ways to do it if anyone is considering and isn't sure how: Sending to a RL friend:1) Choose the Aftermath Remix online but as you are filling out the information with your name/address/credit card, etc. type in your friend's email address instead of yours. After you have "purchased" the remix, close the window without downloading it. Your friend will get an email from AO with the download link and your RL name and address. Sending to a stranger/online friend:1) Choose the Aftermath Remix online and fill out your name/address/credit card and your email (best to use one that doesn't include your RL name, you can set up a new @hotmail.com one for example). After you have clicked the "purchase" button, copy the URL of the download page from the top of your browser window. It will look like this: www.myplaydirect.com/adam-lambert/orders/BF7F4F9362close the window without downloading the file. Open your own email program, and send an email including this link to your giftee. (You can also just forward the email you get from myplaydirect w/ the link instead, but remember to delete out your RL name and address!)

Ha, ha, "249 million downloads by Glamberts!!" You are taking the place of Michael Slezak's recaps, for me. (He's not as snarky since leaving EW.)

I have a partial answer on Aftermath Remix and radio. 1. Adam seemed to have jumped the gun when he said to request. 2. RCA Ed had his timing messed up -- it is going out to radio next week -- it will be a digital file emailed to stations. (I do not have official confirmation from RCA on this, this is what 3 radio PDs have told me they understand is happening.) 3. After the Trevor Project campaign is over -- April 10 to May 10th (no date yet), Aftermath Remix will be sent to digital retailers -- iTunes, Amazon MP3 and others. At this point the current plan is to have an add date and do a soft push for airplay (not a lot of promo money). 4. Everything related to this appears to be in motion and could change at any moment. There appears to have been some miscues on this single's release because I do not believe RCA planned it. Since it took a non-traditional path, some of the normal processes were not followed, and that resulted in a lot of confusion. I am getting the impression that this is one Adam kind of mucked up a bit. However, it looks like it will work out fine in the end, and he will get an extra single out of FYE in the US. My question is that I wonder if Adam purposely tweeted that radio request tweet to demonstrate the song was popular and should go to radio. Just a thought -- but I have never seen him miss that much in the past. Plus the Tampa and Philly pull backs on playing the song were just odd. I think it should all be clearer next week. In the meantime, I would wait until stations have the song before requesting. In other words, ignore Adam's tweet. @q102philly eyeslilieyes Thanks tons...and I'm workin on @rcapromo to see what's the haps with the new @adamlambert track! Havent 4gotten bout ya! This whole Aftermath Remix release for radio has been confusing. In the press release Adam talked about it being "blast on the radio" RCA Ed last week was weird with His "No Comment" when asked about if this was to be released to radio. I think Adam was the one to push for "Aftermath Remix" to be released to radio, just the impression that I get. I hope it gets released to US itunes at the same time as it gets pushed to radio. The general public have no idea how or where to go on Adam Official for the download.

I think there are many like me who weren't actively thinking about Gay Rights. Adam has brought awareness and put a face to the issues.
