Replace the original band with the UK band Not really, if you want the original band to sound like the UK band, just turn down their volume and play back the backing track  IMHO, the G-A-Y performance was mostly Adam + backing track, with the band just standing there, "playing". Compare to the different arrangements the original band does on Shady for example, or the long improvisations at the end of Cuckoo or Naked Love the original band can do because they actually play live and can stop or extend where needed. I wouldn't even claim I ever heard the backing vocal guys on any of the two performances. I know I heard Adam's backing vocals a lot though. They sounded like the CD record because it WAS the CD record... But I could be totally full of it ITA - not the "full of it" part though |
