Thanks for the birthday wishes! Happy birthday to fellow Atopians: winks, gambrell4u and ljsmack2! I had a great bertday, starting off with a good dose of NCOE on the radio. It always gets me in a good mood! Was wishing for snow here in Dunedin (South Island of New Zealand) but don't think it's coming. Feel lilke every day is my birthday being an Adam fan - there is always something new to watch, look at, read or listen to!

I enjoy the band and backup singers. I enjoy the backing track when they're not there. ILU...a true diplomat! I do agree...whatever is there, I enjoy.... as long as Adam is there.

I've really enjoyed Adam performing with these new musicians. On a couple of videos from g-a-y, there were comments about wanting Tommy there : I know it's part of the fun for some people, but I didn't notice any real difference musically. Same for the bass. I did notice a huge difference in the drumming. Isaac really is a class drummer. And I noticed a big difference on keys as well. What surprised me was how much I enjoyed the back up boys - to my ears, they blended really well with Adam's voice and I didn't hear one "off" note. But I'm certainly no expert. Yeah I love the new band. Backing singers blend in well and don't distract from Adam! The vajayjays have grown on me but I still don't like them trying to oversing Adam on Trespassing, Shady, Broken English. I like Tommy but I think Carlos has more energy, skill, versatility, and he's a real rocker if Adam's still going for a rock band. Oh and he's a hottie :-[ Also prefer the new bassist's take on Trespassing. Beyond that I'm indifferent

Sirius 20 on 20 still does not have Adam on its request list (the one on their website). After writing in NCOE, I thought to check if it was on their media base request form. It was. Also Saturday I wondered if 20 on 20 was a Top 40 station because the music was kind of "alternative". Q3 assured me it was. I checked their playlist today (the website request list) and there is no Katy Perry, etc. It is mostly new artists (Stefano from Idol), artists who don't get much play (Robin Thicke) and I assume artists with new songs being "tested" (new Chris Brown song). It's like a "bubbling under Top 40" station. I also requested on Sirius Hits 1. For someone in St. Louis, those are the only request options. Once a week I request on the STL Top 40 station and the HAC one. But I have no expectation anything by Adam will be played here. Rick Santorum did very well in Missouri and the State legislation almost passed a law like the one in Tennessee that would make it against the law to even say the word "gay" in schools. I was listening to this station during a road trip and was puzzled by their eclectic and some time bizzare play list so I searched some info about this station and this is what I found: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_20_on_20"Top 20 on 20 (or just 20 on 20) is a commercial-free, interactive hit music satellite radio station. It is channel 3 on Sirius XM Radio[1] but was previously on channel 20. The channel plays everything new from rock to rap, with the songs chosen by online votes to the XM website. One can also vote their favorite songs by calling the station number ( 866-553-2020 ), or text messaging. The channel was completely automated by listener voting with no DJ interruption." i hope this helps

I guess I'm in the minority re the temp band. I've been reading comments on the videos & other sites re liking the temp band better. Their playing didn't really make an impression on me. They looked like throwbacks from the 80's. Adam picked his band members, so I miss the personal connection he has with each of them. I also like the contrast between his voice & the vajayjays. The boys looked & sounded bland to me. I'm glad it was just the 2 gigs. Anyway that was my take on it.
