I'm thinking about it, in a more optimistic way. Maybe they decided to release it after Adam's first big appearance with Queen. Delays happen all the time in every artist for a reason. I think they know better than us. I could understand one or two but they're just taking the mick now. Sure they can release it after the first big performances but it's not like the general public here will see either, and even if we did wouldn't "Whoa what a great singer, his album came out this week?! Time to go grab it" be more likely a reaction than "Whoa what a great singer, his album comes out next week?! I await it with bated breath"? jmo of course  I think the general public in the UK WILL see the Kiev performance (isn't soccer very popular in the UK too? I think it is ) and also the week 9th of July is the week with the UK performances with Queen. I trust Sosh and it makes sense at least to me  |

I await it with bated breath"? jmo of course I really trust Shoshanna and Sony in the UK . they have done an amazing job with PR for Adam.. So I just can't really second guess them. I believe they have Adam's best interests at heart and know what they are doing. Yeah I can trust them too. NCOE seems to be taking off slowly. Just wish they could sit down and really think of a release date instead of doing it in fragments and messing everyone around is all .....ya know, militant feelings are starting to brew with all the "gay" references. How can the public possibly "let it go" if the media keeps jamming it down our throats. Yes, Adam is gay. Enough already. And, this thought is also surfacing a lot for me lately -- personally, I think the "gay thing" is most definitely influencing his radio play. I think the more conservative stations are afraid for the advertiser response. And, of course, we will never know as everyone SAYS it doesn't matter. Actions speak louder then words. I think Adam and his fans have a longer, bigger battle. It appears that good music and critical acclaim just aren't enough. Not angsting, just pissed. It's stupid, I don't see Sam Sparro, Elton John, Simon Amstell, Ladyhawke, etc. interviews plastered in "GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY" so why Adam? I'm genuinely curious cause I can't think of one reason ??? ETA: Yeah Gelly they'll see the Kiev performance, and then be able to buy the album like 9 days later as opposed to 2  |

I think they know better than us. You make so much sense Gelly... people will start checking Adam's own music out,after they hear him sing with Queen.
This may be helped by the fact that Billboard just named the American Idol runner-up as the sexiest man in music after receiving 26% of the reader vote in front of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine in second place with 12%.
Justin Bieber came third after scoring 10%, ahead of Enrique Iglesias with 9.75%. Chris Brown, Usher and Drake also made an appearance in the top five, earning 5% or less of the vote each.
The title of sexiest female went to X Factor USA judge, Britney Spears who received 45% of the vote, beating the likes of Lady GaGa with 12% and Beyoncé, who achieved 8%., with former American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift also featuring in the top ten.
............................... Though it sounds fun .... being called BillBoard's Sexiest Man.. I really do not think it has much impact on anything ... specially on album sales... though it creates pop news visibility... And Queen being an iconic brand, an extraordinary vocal performance with Queen... will put Adam's brand of vocal olympics out there... Since Trespassing is different from the Queen songs ,... it will be interesting to see how the newly initiated into Adam's world will navigate from the iconic rock to the pop..... Some will welcome the contemporary music... some will probably be bewildered and look for something retro rock... The only given, those who will hear Adam.. wil check out his music... my hope , when they do... they will be so consumed by Trespassing ....it will be impossible to put a brake in their journey into Adam's world... |

The album, which was released in the US and Canada some weeks ago, was originally mooted for a July 2 release in the UK However, that has now been pushed back to July 9. It will be preceded by the release of Lambert's single 'Never Close Our Eyes', which is due out in the UK on July 8. It has also been confirmed that Lambert will appear on Graham Norton's BBC talk show on July 22 as he stays in London over the summer.

Nationalglampoon I share your frustration with the GAY, GAY, GAY but aren't all those people you mentioned British, Aussies or Kiwis?
This is just a random response because Adam is American and therefore it seems to matter. My first instinct is that it is linked to having been on American Idol, a so-called "family values" show???? Bewildering.
EDIT: After pondering for a few minutes, because of the social context in both the US and UK with social justice issues going on at the moment, it seems that is an "angle" so many journalists are just picking up and running with. The interview on Sunrise in Australia recently - went for the Obama angle. Radio stations played WWFM and IIHY knowing Adam was gay. I wouldn't be so quick to use the discrimination card without evidence, but the social context is definitely heating up.
