I really trust Shoshanna and Sony in the UK . they have done an amazing job with PR for Adam.. So I just can't really second guess them. I believe they have Adam's best interests at heart and know what they are doing. Yeah I can trust them too. NCOE seems to be taking off slowly. Just wish they could sit down and really think of a release date instead of doing it in fragments and messing everyone around is all .....ya know, militant feelings are starting to brew with all the "gay" references. How can the public possibly "let it go" if the media keeps jamming it down our throats. Yes, Adam is gay. Enough already. And, this thought is also surfacing a lot for me lately -- personally, I think the "gay thing" is most definitely influencing his radio play. I think the more conservative stations are afraid for the advertiser response. And, of course, we will never know as everyone SAYS it doesn't matter. Actions speak louder then words. I think Adam and his fans have a longer, bigger battle. It appears that good music and critical acclaim just aren't enough. Not angsting, just pissed. It's stupid, I don't see Sam Sparro, Elton John, Simon Amstell, Ladyhawke, etc. interviews plastered in "GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY" so why Adam? I'm genuinely curious cause I can't think of one reason ??? ETA: Yeah Gelly they'll see the Kiev performance, and then be able to buy the album like 9 days later as opposed to 2 The press is marginalizing Adam with this gay stuff " the gay pop star" Does that mean his music is only meant for that community? His biggest fan base is not even with the LGBT community. If it was, he would be selling like Lady Gaga or others that the community does support. Adam is really between a rock and a hard place. if he doesn't discuss it he's put down,if he does discuss it he's put down. It's becoming outright discrimination IMHO. I almost wish Adam could say I will not be speaking about my being gay in relationship to my music any more...Can you imagine the backlash he would get from that statement from many who don't really even support his music.

I don't get the UK delay unless they think some extra time on radio for NCOE will make a difference. How is NCOE doing on UK radio? Is it moving slowly compared to other songs on the chart? Is the lack of Radio 1 a problem?
So far I think Shoshanna has done a great job, but if you aren't in the UK it is hard to get an overall feel for what's happening.

Good point. Seems like the only 'celebrities' I hear the word attatched to ALL THE TIME.......are Adam and Neil Patrick Harris.
We were supposed to get Trespassing in March and had to wait until the end of May here.....I know that doesn't help but it is always exciting to see how well it does when released elsewhere

Lol thinking about Sauli's comment the other day "This is going to be a quiet interview if you are going to ask about my relationship" ~ could you see Adam answering like this? (he should be able to keep things private, he just likes to share, lol) Adam loves talking about them, to a point. He just lights up about Sauli, so sweet

I could understand one or two but they're just taking the mick now. Sure they can release it after the first big performances but it's not like the general public here will see either, and even if we did wouldn't "Whoa what a great singer, his album came out this week?! Time to go grab it" be more likely a reaction than "Whoa what a great singer, his album comes out next week?! I await it with bated breath"? jmo of course I think the general public in the UK WILL see the Kiev performance (isn't soccer very popular in the UK too? I think it is ) and also the week 9th of July is the week with the UK performances with Queen. I trust Sosh and it makes sense at least to me Makes sense to me too. And I see Sosh working her buns off for Adam this era. I don't think we should be surprised that "gay" is a large part of the dialogue for the Trespassing era. And I do think that most of it IS favorable. After all, Adam DID make music history with his #1 placement of Trespassing. This IS big news and worthy of commentary. What would have been bad if Adam, openly gay singer, released his sophmore album and failed to chart. That would have been bad news. I'll take this commentary anytime. And I think that Adam, whether he chose this role or not, is a brilliant attractive compelling figure for gay progress in this time period. Perhaps I am in the minority in the fandom, but the "gay" dialogue doesn't offend or anger me at all. I just feel so proud when Adam speaks. 8-)
