en.city-kyiv.com.ua/uefaeuro2012/publication/Kyiv/euro-2012-departure/1441.htmlFree entrance into the Fan Zone on the day of concert 13.06.2012 Free entrance into the Kyiv Fan Zone on the day of the Elton John and Queen concert. The Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation and the organizers of the Kyiv EURO 2012 Fan Zone have officially declared free entrance into the Fan Zone on the day of the benefit concert, dedicated to the fight against AIDS, with performers EltonJohn, Queen, and Adam Lambert.... Stupid question, probably, but how does a benefit concert with fee entrance raise money for charity?? Not knocking it just curious. ???

From wikipedia
Corrie in popular culture The British rock band Queen produced a single "I Want to Break Free" in 1984 which reached number 3 position in UK charts and which is largely known for its music video for which all the band members dressed in women's clothes, which parodied the characters and is considered as a homage to the show.[151] The video depicts Mercury as a housewife, loosely based on Bet Lynch, who wants to "break free" from his life. Although Lynch was a blonde in the soap opera, Mercury thought he would look too silly as a blonde and chose a dark wig. May plays another, more relaxed housewife based on Hilda Ogden.[152]
I do believe this was misinterpreted in the US and Queen, never did as well in the US after this.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the songs on the setlist. Brian probabl told Adam the story and how it affected their status on radio and lack of US support after this song.

This may have been asked a hundred times by now, but I'm curious about how a break-out in the UK might affect Adam's radio play in the US. Is there any correlation? I know it doesn't always happen. For example, Jessie J had a hell of a time getting played here, even though she was huge in the UK already.
Just seems fishy that the UK radio seems to be taking on NCOE so much more readily than US radio. I know there's different audience, but it's strange nonetheless.

Lots of UK play just makes it easier for UK artists to get noticed over there. Supposedly Gaga had trouble in the US at first with radio play and acceptance. However she had the gay population behind her in the US. She became famous in Europe, and with the help of the gay population in the US she got a foothold in the US after coming back to the US.

Capital FM @capitalofficial Ok so what do you think we used for 'A' in #AdamLambertAToZ Correct answers get a follow... #ThisOneIsEasy This is fun! We could make this our own game, coming up with something for Adam for every letter. I like most of their choices, but would have changed a few. I think there would be better choices for K,N and O K = Kale, one of Adam's favorite vegetables. N = Neil, Adam's brother. O = Outlaws of Love, one of the most personal songs co-written by Adam.

Oh maybe... I hope he really captures everyone this time around and hopefully a similar thing can happen. You know sometimes I get so caught up in all the politics and radio stalking that I forget about the music. I'm having a really bad day but Adam's music just has this magic that can take me to another world and make me feel okay. No one else can do that for me. I wish he was bigger cause I don't want anyone to miss out on the feeling. Adam fucking Lambert you genius
