Jessie J was already a hit in England. It was breaking into the US market that was so tough.

One more mention on the Billboard, the sexiest pop star poll, on Ylex website (national radio channel). ylex.yle.fi/uutiset/popuutiset/yllattavat-voittajat-britney-ja-suomen-vavy-musiikkimaailman-seksikkaimmat (ylex.yle.fi June 13, 2012) Surprise winners? Britney and Finland's son-in-law the sexiest in music businessBritney Spears and Adam Lambert has been crowned to sexiest musicians on Billboard. Billboard magazine arranged a reader poll to elect the sexiest people in music business. Britney Spears and Adam Lambert won the poll. The pop stars took the first places ahead of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Usher and Enrique Iglesias among others. Spears who just started as a judge in X-Factor got 45 per cent of the votes in 'the sexiest female in music business' category. Lady Gaga was second with 12% of the votes and Beyoncé was placed third (8%). Adam Lambert, known also as Finland's son-in-law, won the male category gathering 25% of all votes. His namesake Adan Levine came second (12%) and teen popper Justin Bieber placed third with ten per cent of the votes. (list of top ten in the vote) my mom just called to inform me that Adam is the sexiest man in music... ... and she heard these news on the US Russian Language TV World News program ;D WORLD NEWS INDEED! talking about exposure... ;D

Supposedly Gaga had trouble in the US at first with radio play and acceptance. However she had the gay population behind her in the US. She became famous in Europe, and with the help of the gay population in the US she got a foothold in the US after coming back to the US. Oh maybe... I hope he really captures everyone this time around and hopefully a similar thing can happen. You know sometimes I get so caught up in all the politics and radio stalking that I forget about the music. I'm having a really bad day but Adam's music just has this magic that can take me to another world and make me feel okay. No one else can do that for me. I wish he was bigger cause I don't want anyone to miss out on the feeling. Adam fucking Lambert you genius Yes! This happens for me, too! Hope your day gets better!

This may have been asked a hundred times by now, but I'm curious about how a break-out in the UK might affect Adam's radio play in the US. Is there any correlation? I know it doesn't always happen. For example, Jessie J had a hell of a time getting played here, even though she was huge in the UK already. Just seems fishy that the UK radio seems to be taking on NCOE so much more readily than US radio. I know there's different audience, but it's strange nonetheless. I believe I read just the opposite about JessieJ she had a hard time in England . Clive Davis heard her here and was impressed.. the rest is kind of history I guess. Jessie J didn't have a hard time in England. Also before she became famous in the US when Justin Timberlake was asked who has the greatest voice in the pop world today he said Jessie J. JT is a big influence in the US. In addition to that she was invited to the US by B.O.B and they wrote together Price Tag along with Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly. She knew what she was doing. Major names in the US market . Not to mention that I believe she deserves it. For me she is the best female singer right now.
