Thank you, Reihmer, for the birthday cake, and Gelly, for the Adam gif. Today is a milestone birthday for me as I turn 75 today, putting me in the "senior citizen" category, I guess. However, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you all know how much I enjoy this fan site. I had checked out other fan sites, but finally jumped into this one as the best and most comprehensive site. There are so many of you that I would like to call out, but for now, one in particular, and it's you, Q3, for setting up, organizing and maintaining this great site. First of all, there is so much info about Adam from videos, interviews, pictures, gifs, etc - in fact more than I can ever wish for. I also enjoy the in-depth discussions from such varied topics as the importance of radio play for Adam's career to gaining a much better understanding of what Burning Man is all about. With your new directive, Q3, I've been exploring some of the sub-topics, and right now am liking the Moon Journey sub-topic. A third, very important aspect of this site is the positivity, caring and compassion that I see daily. And finally, since I didn't come of age during the internet explosion, the interconnection here from all of you from all parts of the globe is still a wonderment to me - I love it - and that we are all connected in a common bond. It's a beautiful thing. As for Adam, well, I've been a music lover all my life - all kinds of music, classic, folk, rock, blues, jazz, opera, musical theater, the old MGM musicals, you name it -and I love it all. I've seen David Bowie live in concert, and I've also seen Queen live in concert when Freddie was in his prime. Now here comes Adam into my life when I'm in my seventies, and he has opened a whole new dimension of music to my life. He "makes me want to listen to music again". He is unique and stands alone - I compare him to no one. Adam has the finest tenor voice I have ever heard in my life with such a clarion purity that rings out from the highest notes that he belts out to the softer tones when pulling back in ballads - absolute beauty - and coupled with his charismatic stage presence, he is definitely one to be experienced live if at all possible. He is a true artist and a good man. I believe he will have a long career and he will continue to amaze us, delight us, and move us in the years ahead as well as in the here and now. I wish him the best as his career progresses and also on his life's journey. I am so glad he has come into my life and is now part of my life's journey - he is a tremendous talent and a beautiful soul - and he makes my heart sing.  So glad you popped in today, annala!!!  |

Pfffftttt. You're a regular listener. Who cares how old you are? You're the sort of person who matters most to your station. You're local, that station is your home base. Request away. Please.  wrong time to give up though. What are one or two more weeks? And Adam will either make it over the next hurdle or he won't, but now is not the time to pull the plug, tbh. Can you hang in a little longer? Adam trusts that we have his back, so we better do exactly that, while he is out of the country, on a different mission. I could not have said it better -- this week matters a lot. If you can't do anything else, vote a view times at Q102. Link on page one. Mainstream Top 40 Radio is based on playing a very few songs a lot. Therefore only a few artists get played. It is never easy for a new artist to break into the Top 40 Radio and Adam is essentially a new artist. |

My local HAC radio airs the Billy Bush show in the evenings. It's a syndicated show that takes requests. Scroll down on the right. It has "Playlist" and "Requests." If you get this show in your area, why not request. www.billybushshow.com/ |

The best kind of requests come from fans who are long term LISTENERS, especially fans that already have established a relationship with their favorite station! Also, HAC stations do target an older Demographic than CHR stations. I would think 40 would be in the general age group that HAC is playing to. The requestAdam suggestions were just that, suggestions. The ideas about requesting were focused on Top 40 or CHR stations and those stations do target younger listeners. IMO, it never hurts to play the game! Adam admits to playing the game on American Idol and even doing it to promote singles and his album. Adam is a smart businessman, he also uses common sense in promoting himself and his music. If it's not "below" Adam to adjust a little and play a smart game to promote himself, so it's not below me to play a few games.   Take what you want from the suggestions, use some of it, all of it, or none of it. IMO, you should do whatever you feel comfortable with, but don't give up or stop requesting because of a few suggestions that are put out to the internet. The only person this hurts is Adam, not the fans who made the original suggestions. We are trying to help ADAM...for me, that's the bottom line! I agree. For me this is the time to be tough, to hang in there, to even up my requesting a bit (we can try two methods on the same day, especially if you have different usernames, there are really many different options). For me I'm in the HAC age group so I enjoy different takes on strategy about how to present myself when requesting to Top 40 in order to achieve MY goal, which is to help Adam's airplay. Just like I try to show that I'm local and listening with my city stations. Seeing radio as a game and collecting thoughts and insights which might be helpful or make my requests more effective helps me weather the ups and downs, and understand and accept the system. But if strategy is not something you are interested in, or certain individual suggestions don't feel comfortable, scroll away, do you! I give thanks to every requester, visible or invisible. You make me feel not alone and I really honestly believe it makes a difference. |

I live in a smallish college city where, as far as I can discover, we do not have a chr station though we have a college one. We do have a HAC which I listen to when I drive. I have been requesting for months to no avail. I am assuming it is not monitored since we are a small market. I don't see the station on the list here. Is my assumption right? The station is KSTT coast 101.3 FM San Luis Obispo CA. It is frustrating not to be able to request at a monitored station.
One cool thing about this station is that it has an openly gay dj who talks very lovingly about his husband.

Hoppers sorry about your loss. When it comes to the same old 'age appropriate' talk about requesting NCOE I just say  This is just my opinion but I've been around too many years and experience to many things to let anybody or group define or label me....where my 'place' is, or what I'm suppose to enjoy in my musical or everyday life. I'll do what I 'feel' is right in my heart and ....as Adam would say...."I'll shine when I want to shine". Since I really don't use twitter I don't know what is being said....and I, frankly, don't care. I'll do what I can to promote Adam and his music in a way I feel will be helpful and will not hinder Adam. But....mine is not a throw away generation with no relevance in today's music and my requests are as important as the next guys. So I'm going on my merry way...proud to be doing my part to help the amazing Mr. Lambert get the recognition he so rightly deserves.
