Graham Norton Show @thegnshow This week, we welcome @iamwill, Miriam Margolyes & comic Greg Davies onto the sofa. Remember Miriam's last appearance? t.co/fkAdxt0oHe doesn't mention Adam's name. Maybe he won't sit on the sofa? Or maybe he simply didn't include it? Or maybe I'm speculating without a reason. Perhaps Shosh can answer us. There is the answer almost immediately JB @flyteness1 Wait, is Adam not being interviewed on Graham Norton? @shoshannastone
shoshanna stone @shoshannastone @flyteness1 he is
If you have seen the show you know the concept. The sofa guests sit and talk the whole time until the end when the musical performer(Adam) gets to the stage. Then he joins the crowd on the sofa, gets a few questions and that´s it. I hope he can impress everyone in that short time. If anyone could, it´s Adam

I am trying to do my part. But I can't get to the 20 on 20 request/vote page from the link on the first page from my IPHONE. Yes, it works from my computer. But not my iPhone.
From my iPhone the link on front page takes me to Channel 2, not Channel 3, page! Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe someone could post a good link so i can get in my votes for NCOE? Last week there was a good link that worked with my iPhone.
Thanks!

I agree with Holly.RCA chose this song with the help and "participation" of radio program directors. It seems the RCA promo staff should be working this song hard, as this was their choice.

Actually, I think RCA is doing exactly that. They spent months doing research, made the deal for NCOE, sent Adam across the US and UK promoting the album and testing music, etc. I think NCOE is a fine choice. If it cannot get Mainstream Top 40 airplay, then the odds are not too good for anything from Trespassing getting Mainstream Top 40 airplay. It no longer matters what a lot of core fans think, it is the single and it is the song that radio will decide to play or not. Is there any proof Adam fans can pick singles?I see no evidence that the consensus of Adam fans would result in picking the best radio single for Adam. On FYE -- would fans have picked WWFM? I admit it would not have been my first pick, although it remains Adam's big hit. RCA and DMG has talked a lot about the promotional strategy....1. It was most important for Adam to put out a really good album. He did that. 2. Then RCA and DMG had to reintroduce Adam to the market. He had one hit single -- and that peaked in May 2010. That is a lifetime ago. Here is the strategy laid out in Billboard -- www.billboard.com/news/adam-lambert-takes-control-with-trespassing-1007035152.story#/news/adam-lambert-takes-control-with-trespassing-1007035152.storyThey had to market a product that was different than the last album."He's really made a record that's different than what he made coming off of 'Idol,'" says Dana Collins, one of six artist managers working with Lambert at Los Angeles-based Direct Management Group...Focus on Mainstream and Adult Top 40 Radio:RCA's promotional campaign for "Trespassing" includes a heavy push at mainstream and adult top 40 radio, numerous summer radio station concert bookings and a May 17 performance of Lambert's newest single, "Never Close Our Eyes" (co-written by Mars and produced by Dr. Luke), on "American Idol."
.....
RCA hopes to expand on Lambert's pop appeal through radio. Senior VP of promotion Adrian Moreira says the singer's strongest format is adult top 40, whose listeners tend to be females age 18-34. To build on that demographic, Lambert visited mainstream and adult top 40 stations across the country in March to meet with programmers and music directors and perform acoustically for listeners. No major media platform to support album #2But even with a fan base that reaches many parts of the world, Lambert and his team say that it'll be a challenge releasing a second album without the benefit of having 20 million people seeing him on "American Idol" twice per week for three months. "I'm sure it's going to reflect in things. It's a different climb right now," Lambert says. "It's through the music that I'll have to get on people's radar. Not based on the TV show." Reintroduce people to Adam on US TVDirect Management Group's Martin Kirkup, whose firm began working with Lambert last summer after the singer's departure from 19 Entertainment, says the process of reintroducing the artist to the marketplace will simply revolve around getting as many eyeballs on him as possible and then allowing the music to speak for itself. That started earlier this year with performances on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Logo's NewNowNext Awards and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
"We feel he has good recognition because of 'American Idol,' but really when you get to your second record everything is starting off fresh. Whatever audience you brought with you from 'Idol,' whatever the perception you have-some of that remains," Kirkup says. "But basically you're now going to thrive or fail based on your own talent or skills. The most important thing we can be doing is getting people to see Adam, whether that's on TV, live or on video."And this was the most interesting statement to me -- RCA saying he is still in artist development RCA VP of marketing Nick Pirovano says that Lambert is still very much in the artist development stage. "We're breaking an artist," he says. "We want him to be more than just an 'American Idol,' and that takes time." The big question is "what is his big market?" But there's still the matter of where Lambert fits into the current musical landscape. Although he performed classic rock songs from Led Zeppelin, U2 and others during his stint on "Idol" and will front upcoming international dates with Queen, the artist mostly identifies himself as a pop act. It's been challenging finding his place in the female-dominated genre, he says.
"There's not a blueprint for me to follow," Lambert says, referencing how Justin Bieber seems to be following a path mapped by Justin Timberlake. "There are female artists I can look at that I find more in common with than the male artists, because they're blending the pop, dance and theatricality . . . but currently there aren't a lot of guys who go there." The QUEEN Events -- an odd way to promote this albumIn lieu of immediately touring behind "Trespassing," Lambert's summer plans include eight North American radio station concerts and six overseas shows singing for Queen. Direct Management Group's Kirkup says the management team wanted to keep the artist's schedule open as press and media opportunities arise in global markets. Lambert cites the Philippines, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, the United Kingdom and parts of Scandinavia as international markets where he's had the most success. A proper tour will likely occur at the end of this year or in early 2013.
Kirkup hopes that the upcoming Queen performances in Russia and Europe expose Lambert to an audience that might not discover him as immediately a pop artist. Lambert notes that there aren't any plans to perform additional concerts with Queen but says he's open to any type of collaboration with the rock band, including recording an album together like Queen + Paul Rodgers' The Cosmos Rocks in 2008.
For now, Lambert is focusing on pushing his career forward with "Trespassing." "There are people in the industry or fans who will look at that statement and say, 'But it's Queen!'" he says. "I know that, and I know it's a big honor. But the most important thing for me is to be authentic. And I'll be the most authentic doing the music I wrote." JMHO -- Adam is a brilliant live performer. The Queen concerts will finally broaden the recognition of this. What it does for Trespassing is still a question mark for me. But it should ensure a 2013 Headline Tour.

Q102 works on my phone.

Adam Lambert on Queen, partying with Katy Perry & love for Jessie Juk.omg.yahoo.com/gossip/the-juice/adam-lambert-queen-partying-katy-perry-carly-rae-122953928.htmlAdam Lambert is one very lucky person. Not only is he performing with music legends Queen, he's also partied with both Katy Perry and Jessie J in recent weeks and has hung out with Carly Rae Jepsen *jealous face*. Caption below photo: We had a chit chat to Adam Lambert about Queen, Katy Perry and MORE We caught up with the American Idol star to have a chit chat. This is how it went: Welcome, how do you like London?I love it. I like the culture, the people, the emphasis on arts, on music, performance and fashion. There's legitimacy in the arts here. You performed at G.A.Y. What was the response? It was packed full of young and fabulous people. A great crowd and they seemed to really like the music even though it hasn't been released here yet. Your album went to No1 in the States. Fancy replicating that here?Yeah obviously. My profile is a little different here. I'm just excited to be singing and singing music that I helped to create. How does it feel to be performing with the legends Queen?I'm so excited. I have a great relationship with Brian May and Roger Taylor. It just felt like an easy and natural collaboration. It just clicked and I think that's why we decided to do something further. Do you not get totally star struck? It felt comfortable but the whole time I'm like 'it's f***ing Queen!' You're playing with them before the Euro 2012 final. Are you a fan of soccer?Football fan? Not necessarily. But you know hey, those shorts look good. I can enjoy the fashion of the football. How was performing at the Royal Albert Hall with the likes of Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis and JLS?The acoustics were amazing. I chatted with Alexandra. She's lovely. I saw JLS, they were really easy going. They're great, they're really down to earth. And we gather you partied with Katy Perry, Jessie J and The Wanted the other night? After the G.A.Y performance we decided that we needed to keep partying. We met up with Katy Perry and her dancers and saw Jessie J there. She's lovely I'm a big fan. I love her. I think she's fabulous. She can sing circles around so many people. Carly Rae Jepsen was there too, who's a sweetheart, adorable and very cool. I think I saw The Wanted boys too. We asked YOU on Twitter to submit your questions:What do you do to de-stress? I love getting a massage, taking a bath, listening to relaxing music. Lighting a candle. Top iPod tracks: Jamiroqui's most recent album 'Rock Dust Light Star'. It's really good. I've got Sam Sparrow on repeat. The Scissor Sisters new song. I'm a big Goldfrapp fan. Do you sing your own songs in the shower? I sing in the shower, yeah. If I'm getting ready for a performance I'll be jamming on one of mine to warm up but otherwise I might just bust out a Queen song. What will your next tattoo be? I've been thinking of a couple of things. I don't know yet. It'll probably be on my arm. I have a couple already and I want to add to them. Are you ever homesick? I do get homesick but I've definitely come to the understanding that home is where your heart is. Adam Lambert's album 'Trespassing' is out 9 July, his single 'Never Close Our Eyes' is released 8 July

Just finished my radio requests, played NCOE music vid -- still have to do my 10 at 10 but will need a few more cups of tea. I sure wished I lived in an area where they were playing NCOE. I'm staying civil when I tweet my very local stations -- they don't even use the mediabase form! One of the stations actually added WWFM but I never heard them play it. Oh well. They're probs calling me the crazy woman who keeps requesting NCOE -- I may be the one and only in this area!
