gelly, this is the translation you asked for. The interview is quite old, it took place some time in the spring before the Sonisphere cancellation (I remember listening to it then), this is a Moscow radio station interviewing Eldar (I can't remember his last name at the moment) - the organizer of the Moscow concert with Queenbert.

I am starting from 0:40 mark, as they talk about other Queen collabs up until then.

Now Queen is in Moscow again, this time with Adam Lambert.
Eldar, tell us how this came about, why did they choose AL?

E: [Eldar talks about Queen performing at Sonisphere.. he can't remember the name or exact place... says near Loondon]…they were looking for an additional place to perform. The choice was Paris, Madrid and Moscow …My team was quick to agree…the date is June 30th – will be a huge concert with Adam Lambert.
As far as AL is concerned: he is a hero of (our times) and our group [?]. Also his fans were actively requesting him. Moscow has strong and very informed audience; people share latest info [about artists] and are in the forefront of the cultural news. As a result they were asking to invite AL; we tried last year but it did not work out. He was already engaged to perform at a festival in Tushino [Maxidrome] – was a great success.
I was surprised and relieved to hear that [Queen will be performing with AL], as frankly I am not a fan of Paul Rogers playing with Queen [discussion re him liking PR but not with Queen…] Adam is a totally different story – first he is young,

Radio person: how old IS he?

E: I am not sure but he just won AI

E: so what does it make him…

E: ya… and I watched a recording of the Brit awards [EMAs?]. He is the closest thing to Freddie. He is close to Freddie internally, very close. He also has the same sexual orientation, he is opened about it - it must be a plus as he brings very deep internalized understanding and interpretation of the material.
I also love that he keeps his distance, he is clear that he has no intentions of copying Freddie. He is very clear that he has the utmost respect for the material and he sometimes demonstrates that he can easily match Freddie’s the vocal fits, but he does it with his own approach, with his own interpretation. I am very excited and can’t wait for this concert. I think it will be epic. Especially as we all know that Queen are perfectionists: every piece of equipment is verified, every bulb is verified… they are staging a major show.
