Just for interest I went on Ticketmaster....Around 1570 plus tickets sold and 1700 approx still available. Adding up the ticket revenue it comes to about $65,000. Some of you who know more about these types of concerts...have mentioned Adam must ask for a flat rate and the casino hopes to rake in the money for gambling. I sure hope so. Maybe can't be too disappointed---Kelly Clarkson/The Fray ... Rod Stwewart, Pitbull are the only groups that are drawing more number for the summer musical guests, than Adam. And they are not full houses either. (But R Steward has 2 nights booked so he actully has drawn in more concert goers.) Flying the band there, wages for the band, tech guys....taxes, etc etc. If the casino asks him to perform, I guess why not ...make a bit of money, and it does seem like a bit for expenses (all these free radio, TV gigs) prior to his tour. Have fun whomever is in attending the chilly concert today! Looking forward to the youtubes with closer to a full hour set of singing. A lot of people avoid this venue. They pay the artists very well for performing here because it is one way then get people to the casino to gamble, drink and dine. Regarding the number of tickets -- this is over a month away so it will do fine. It "sold out" during GNT but took a long time to sell out. |
