My father came from Kiev and I keep getting confused with all the changes ..My father was born in Kiev ,but he was considered Russian. I forgive Adam any mix up he may have. I remember reading about a photojournalist ,who traveled the world so much that he had to tie a note around one toe at night to tell him where he was in the morning. LOL I'm a little lost now about the geograpy of Europe....my mom was born in Chezkoslovakia, which is now Slovakia or maybe the Chez Republic but it used to be Bohemia. My Dad's family is from Austria which was also once Bohemia. When people ask my heritage, I say Bohemian but now I don't even know if that is right! As for Adam, he just needs to say the city and leave the country name alone  ! I agree - as a Brit, we only ever say the city without adding the country. It wasn't till I came here that I noticed that you always say Paris, France and London, England !! I will never get used to it ! |
