CANNOT stop playing WWTLF. It may have become my number 1 live Adam performance, ever. I may eventually come down off my cloud enough to write about the performance in the masterclass, but, for now, listen/watch Adam power it up in one magnificent breath from 1:55-2:08. Incredible. I have been watching this over and over also and Cassie, I was planning to ask you about his breath in it. Does he really sing that with one Breath? Really looking forward to your analysis.
I didn't find out about Queen until Adam's tryouts for Idol and then I checked youtube for Queen, listen to every single youtube, bought music from Itunes, watched the biography of Freddie's life, and even bought a biography of Freddie and Queen. I went crazy wondering...how I could have missed all this...but now, WOW...Queen and Adam. Thank you Universe. |

Adam Lambert finally found a stage and a moment worthy of his talent,if there is such a thing as Freddie Mercury having a heir,it would be him….the whole concert was amazing because they manage to update the songs and the stage presence while at the same time not losing site of the original magic…the right balance was found,what a great night for Adam Lambert,Queen, and for the memory of Freddie but also what a great night for music,reminded us what is missing mostly these days…real talent who can actually sing live!

I went to u-tube and listened to Freddie sing this song. (WWTLF) As much as I love Freddie and Queen, Adam sang circles around Freddie. Don't throw eggs at me, it's just my opinion.

I watched the vid that someone posted of Freddie singing it on the day before the concert (for the first time in its entirety). I thought at the time that Adam would do this one better : . Any TRUE Queen fan and not simply a Freddie fanatic, will have to admit Roger and Brian KILLED it last night !! I have to say there were moments I was actually worried Roger might have a stroke he was so intense ! And his obvious pride in Rufus was so touching (I did notice Rufus dropped one of his sticks as another poster pointed out and he had a great recovery). And I loved the way Adam would turn to Roger and focus on his set... What can I say about Brian's playing... my gawd, he was on fire !! and running around the stage as much if not more than Adam. He seemed so full of joy...this was Queen again...they weren't just back up players (as many old school Queen fans imply) and as pleased and proud of Adam, I was choked up over a band I have loved forever bringing their incredible, unique sound to the fans. It was equality ! How can they not be enamored of Adam ... Another One Bites the Dust showed off a bit of his showmanship and we who know every nuance of his performances can shout: IT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING...YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET !! The bluesy bass, Ad's scat singing, great keyboards ...my sweet lord...all the fabulous music merge...too, too much. When Adam gets his feet under him and they iron out their "trainwrecks" I believe we are going to enjoy more goofy fun on that stage. Freddie didn't have to be concerned about doing his thing or coming off cocky and when I saw Adam give one of his famous hand signals to the sound person, I knew he was beyond "guest". Rehearsals are just that , rehearsals. Last night Brian saw Adam break out his stage persona and got caught up in what we absolutely love ! The tribute to Freddie was perfect; respectful, loving and showed what an incredible showman he was....Adam's salute made my heart break for the loss of Freddie Mercury and for passing, imo, of the torch to Adam. I can't begin to say how incredibly excited I am for what's to come.  Besides getting to experience the amazing guitar work of Brian, I really enjoyed Roger and his son playing their piece together. The whole band looked like they were having so much fun up there and the grins on Brian and Roger....said it all to me. Adam's light, energy, and charisma was in full force up on that stage! |

I am going to try and screen cap my favourite moment of the concert - is when during Bo Rhap after the taped operatic piece the band kicks back in and Adam comes flying back onto stage and does a massive on his toes back bend right when music explodes back in for last section. Is totally filled with joy, rock star owning it moment. Just loved it. OH YEH!! |

New vow -- I will make my daily radio requests without fail -- damn if I'm gonna let the radio industry kick Adam's ass to the curb -- he works too hard and is too damn good.
