Here's the 7-day rolling chart for Radio Play in the UK & I see NCOE at #94 with a down arrow. Ugh. www.ukairplaychart.com/uk/rolling_week/Apparently the chart is based on AI not spins. Still don't like the idea that he dropped 22 spots (was #72 last week). R1 is not playing & I guess the R2 spin dropped off the rolling chart.

And to make matters worse, Miss Pollyanna/Mary Poppins (me) is close to being ready to throwing in the towel on NCOE here. WKTU hasn't spun in 2 days, not even their 2 a.m. spin! And Q102 only did it once yesterday. They are having a "boys band all weekend" thing going on, so that means no spins for NCOE!

Hey! You've been keeping my spirit alive. Well on life support, but alive nevertheless.

I dunno, jazzrocks, but I know that I will never look at any artists' lack of radio play or sales, (even NAL and Durbin) as their fault! Radio has too much power, that's for damn sure, but I don't see anything changing soon. And before following Idol artists, I had no idea that labels pick the singles. (Wish I could go back to my simpler, 'no nothing' life!) Q hung in there though, and I give them lots of love. Hope they are still around for whatever happens next. Has a song ever crossed over from the Dance Charts? I guess only if sales kicked in too, huh? Ya, I dunno. I haven't got a clue about what is happening next. :-/

I think if a song really smashed on the dance chart it could cross over? Maybe the dance chart is where to go in the US for now? Although I know it doesn't get you sales.
AI alums are basically in a no-win situation (and I mean all of them; I am no KA fan, but his song was as good a fit for HAC as any). Personally, I think Adam or Kris or Haley or Cook could have the best song out there and radio still would not want to bite. For whatever reason, radio is actively working to NOT play these people.
On a positive note, I am really not stressing about the radio stuff---it is clearly out of Adam's control and out of fans control, too, although they pretend otherwise. A new strategy will now be needed to push Adam; certainly RCA finally gets this.

Yeah, me too...learning about radio game/power since following Adam. Damn! I'm sure he's inside with the outcome on this album that he worked so hard & very proud of it. Do you think we will see a 3rd single release from RCA at this point?
