Just managed to make a DVD of the 2hr 18 min concert youtube posted somewhere here earlier today!!! Yay me!!  It seems to be slightly better quality than the 2hr 1min version. Downloaded a free program called Toobie onto my Mac which lets you copy YouTubes. I copied the URL for that youtube vid and pasted it into Toobie and the concert downloaded and sent itself to my iTunes folder under Movies. I then burned a DVD from iTunes. I was just doing this as a test to make sure it would work, though I didn't think it would record the entire thing on one disc since it's over 2 hours. Even though my blank DVD disc says 120min, it downloaded the entire 2hrs 18 min on one disc, no problem. Just played it back on my computer and its wonderful, everything in sync. Great sound and picture! Now to try on TV... NOTE: At first, it wasn't working (getting Toobie to copy it) until I removed "feature=embed" from the tail end of the URL before copying it. EASY! This program will come in handy. Sorry to be so long-winded. Want everyone to be able to copy!!! Note: This is unrelated to making a DVD but I'll say this in case there is anyone like me that didn't realize that iTunes can modify your music and movie files so they are compatible with iPod, iPad, etc. Just click on the movie, in this case, then click on the Advanced tab at the top of your iTunes screen and select "Create iPad version...." or whatever. It modifies the file so you can play it on your iPad. Haven't done this in awhile but as I recall, it maintains the original file as well as the modified file. ;D I'm a happy camper now.... |

I have watched the video of WWTLF more times than I can count in the last 2 days. I thought I had gotten over my emotional response but this short fan video brought tears to my eyes AGAIN. Indescribably beautiful. [/size][/font][/quote] ITA, jazzrocks and TerriJo. There is something about this short fan video of WWTLF that underscores one of the things that has made me such a stan for three years. It's that fearless quality. Like a couple ppl said yesterday, when he was "surveying his kingdom" before the Kiss performance. It's this almost preternatural calm that takes over where you can see him collect himself and face his audience. It's really been inspiring in my personal life. And in this video he's kinda out there alone and it really gives you a sense of the incredible gutsiness of what he is doing (and why I just roll my eyes at the haters--like, I want to say to them, "And what did *you* try to accomplish today?") And then, of course, the poignancy of the lyrics and the Freddie Mercury legacy and the two remaining members playing so beautifully and remembering their old mate. Gah. it's almost too much to take! But at least this snippet is shorter so it ends before I totally lose it |

Trespassing is like a Queenbert song for the 21st century. I know it can't happen but it would be glorious to here Trespassing done by Queenbert -- with a live mega-baseline, fully Adamized.

Then suddenly somebody posts something about NCOE, or Nile Rodgers tweets something, or there's an announcement about a State Fair concert, or an i-tunes/Amazon screw up... and I'm suddenly jerked into the other universe and it's REALLY CONFUSING MY BRAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I can't explain it. It's like from Saturday Queenbert has been REAL LIFE and everything else Adam-related has spun off into some remote galaxy. |
