I am posting a plea to the Universe ---- please ignore my moment of insanity. Trespassing is like a Queenbert song for the 21st century. I know it can't happen but it would be glorious to here Trespassing done by Queenbert -- with a live mega-baseline, fully Adamized. Then suddenly somebody posts something about NCOE, or Nile Rodgers tweets something, or there's an announcement about a State Fair concert, or an i-tunes/Amazon screw up... and I'm suddenly jerked into the other universe and it's REALLY CONFUSING MY BRAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH.I can't explain it. It's like from Saturday Queenbert has been REAL LIFE and everything else Adam-related has spun off into some remote galaxy. I was content just hanging in the sidelines, checking out what's going on... but what exploded this week end , made me think that the kind of music that Adam will be greatly known for is not yet made...Weeks ago I had a playlist created which is like this: Comfortably Numb ( Pink Floyd) Broken English ( Adam) Sweet Child O' Mine (GNR) Who Wants to Live Forever (Queen) Rolling in the Deep (Adele) Shady (Adam) Creep (Radiohead) Love the Way you Lie (Eminem) Chasing Pavements (Adele) Outlaws of Love (Adam) Too Much Love willKill You (Queen) November Rain (GNR) While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles) Braind Damage (Pink Floyd) Cuckoo (Adam) Smooth(Santana) Runnin (Adam) Somebody to Love (Gotye) Here with Me (Dido) Set Fire to the Rain (Adele) Nirvana (Adam) Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics) Smooth Criminal (MJ) Trespassing (Adam) Young Wild and Free (Snoop Dog) Some of the music in Trespassing' are classics , for me, and can hold their own and will be an eternal wonder.. but still I feel that there is something missing ... something great... maybe the songs in Trespassing are already almighty great songs, maybe as Q3 said above ... there might still be an interpretation that will raise it to stratospheric levels ; but like Seoulmate i also feel conflicted .it seems there is a separateness from POP ADAM and this QUEEN BERT evolution , and somehow it feels there is still something out there that will happen that will still show us what greatness Adam will create... and it might not yet be created.... What Adam has created with the Queen songs is beyond brilliant...
What Adam has done with Trespassing is superb......
Probably there is an evolution about to happen...
Almost feels like Adam is a music messiah... and I continue to long for higher levels of musical ecstasy...

What would be really cool would be if Brian and Roger surprised Adam at the last concert by doing Trespassing, as part of the encore, maybe. Even better would be if that last concert was somewhere big in the US with a lot of publicity, and Trespassing shot to the top of iTunes:) A dream, I know.

Shocked and surprised!! I mean, my fellow Phoenician Atopians can testify that we practically live in a "Adam black-out" region. I used to hear WWFM on one or two stations every once in a while, but nothing since this Jan. There was an online article promoting his concert stop in Phoenix 2 years ago during GNT, the hate and ignorance spewing in the comments are still fresh in my mind. I still shudder from the remembrance and the second-hand embarrassment.
So, the thought of "oh, no, people is not gonna know about his new songs!" kept running thru my head. Then, my non-stan BFF pointed out he did sell out that concert 2 years ago, albeit it was a small theatre of 2500-seats but home town girl Jordin Sparks didn't manage to; besides, people going to his concert are most likely gonna be fans, casual fans, or at least curious, so there will be LOVE in the air! 
Now, let's see, Fantasy Springs in 2 weeks and State Fair concert in Oct., dare I hope for something more in between? I haven't been to Vegas for some time, could you please make that a date too, Adam? Pretty please, with a cherry on top!! 
ETA: A big thank you to Gelly for bringing this over! Love ya, girl! I've heard a rumor, that he might be doing some East Coast shows sometime in Sept. There's a casino show rumor. And Phoenix has me very excited because it looks like he will back in the West by Oct.

I'm still under the concert spell... The energy between the boys and Adam was visible high and electric. The moment when Brian forgot to play was magical.. He look at Adam like he see a miraculous on the stage. Obviously the Queen's boys are in love with our BB.... I'm not surprise - Adam is irresistible in every way. I can't wait for next concert...Even think about it make me shake like freaking chihuahua... In my tangled freaking mind I'm still surprised I can think and write something Thanks to Adam and you guys for energized my body and the mind. I fucking love you all so much!!!! I'm rebirth... I'm alive...I'm crazy bitch...and love the madness of AFL..... Tall ya!! All this AFL madness is better then sex!!!! Because gonna last forever!!! ;D 8-) Lady Maserati, I love this post so much, you summed up my feelings perfectly :D |

I -- like many others -- have been torn between the Trespassing Adam and Queenbert. I have decided to surrender to the spell of both. I think the Queenbert will inform Adam about his power, just as I believe Trespassing transformed him. Trespassing brought out the funky, soulful side of Adam. For all the talk of dance-pop, I am most thrilled by watching Adam discover "Miss Thing", his inner black diva. I think Queenbert may be just as transformative for both Adam and his fans.
