Adam Lambert steps up as Queen frontmanOne of the comments Allen July 4, 2012 - 10:59 pmI was uncertain about Adam Lambert fronting Queen until I watched the Kiev concert on Utube. There is no doubt he is the only one in the world able to bring Queen music to life the way it should be. A magnificent concert. I hope he is as successful in his own right, since his new album Trespassing is brilliant. I’m hoping Queen plans a few concerts in the USA. This could very well be a Glambert in disguise :lninja:

The turtle just arrived in MISSISSIPPI! My 2 FAULT mags are HERE!!! i cannot believe my eyes...they'd been rewrapped with a little sticker (not marring the cover, tho) saying the shipment had been damaged in transit.....BUT, all is well...just an itsy bitsy ding on the corner of the spine... can hardly see it...NO DAMAGE to BB's glorious face.... I take back every nasty thought I had toward the shipper of these orders....and send out a BIG TY to the Universe! [/IMG]
The armadillo made its way across TEXAS as well! Mine was wrapped in a dirty old envelope and came from Jersey City with a notice that it had been found lost in the mail and damaged. There was no damage that I could see. Mondo bizarro.
Hallelujah !!!Hallelujah !!!

One of the things I think about as I watch Queenbert is Adam's hometown band. Queen is beyond amazing. Dr. May finesses that guitar like Don Juan and his lover. Roger and Rufus have both youth and experience to give the drums/percussion some serious mojo and although the bassist and keyboards are not very front and center, they provide such a solid backing to the band ... enough that they can fly. Adam said that he does not worry too much about singing Queen's songs because he knows that people love them but you have to know that being in a band that has a level of talent comparable to his own must give him ideas. Adam is loyal and realistic but if I were Tommy Jo, Isaac, Ashley, and Brian London, I would be practicing really hard right now. Just a thought, should I be dodging tomatoes. I've been thinking the same thing about his band. The other day, someone here used the saying "how you going to keep him down on the farm after he's see Paris?" I'm still overwhelmed by the sound of the Queen band. Adam is likely working within a limited budget right now, so he is going to have to settle for what he can afford in terms of a band and back-up singers. Hopefully, someday he'll be able to afford to work with whomever he wants, but he's not at that point yet. But, yes, it will probably at least a little difficult to come back to touring with his band (decent, but not the caliber of Queen) and smaller audiences. So, I am really hoping that we will get at least one Queen date here in the U.S. I'm looking forward to seeing Adam's solo dates, but I really want to see Queen, too. That's not too much to ask is it? Any good bribery ideas?

I know how Adam could sing with Queen at the Olympic closing ceremonies. They simply have to introduce him as "guest colonist Adam Lambert."
