............... Adam is loyal and realistic but if I were Tommy Jo, Isaac, Ashley, and Brian London, I would be practicing really hard right now. No disrespect intended towards Adam's band either but I've chuckled a little about what they must all be thinking right about now. Exactly.

Adam will adjust to reality - maybe with a jolt, but it is what it is. I am so thankful that he had this wonderful opportunity to perform with these unmatchable musicians. They are sublime. I get teary-eyed and I can't describe my feelings just thinking about him being mentored by these legendary masters of the art - and performing next to them on the stage. And I don't think fans need to be rebuked for wishing for Adam the best of everything. Don't we all wish that for those we love.

no tomatoes from me... I posted very similar "thoughts" yesterday - i just can't imagine how Adam will go back to playing with Tommy... Perhaps just as you go back to your significant other after going to a Brad Pitt movie or celebrity of your choice, Adam will go back to his band with fond memories of his Zeus in a thong experience with Queen and get on with his real life with gratitude for the experience. Do you realize how unfair it is to compare 99.9% of the musicians in the world with Brian May and Roger Taylor? Adam lives in the real world and I'm sure will adjust to returning to it quickly. It may be a little more difficult for some of his unrealistic fans...... unless they want him to give up HIS goals and tour the world as guest singer with classic rock 'n roll musicians. he could do worse, (runs off to hide behind that rock)

One other thought, I am so glad that Adam is benefiting from the years of experience provided by Brian and Roger. They know that radio is fickle and I believe that Adam is receiving extremely positive encouragement from them to continue to travel his own path. I don't think he would have had the confidence to confess that performing his own songs can be more fraught with worry if he had not had that positive feedback from Brian and Roger. This thought makes me happy. ITA. Only two Queen songs have ever hit no. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts, Another One Bites the Dust and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. (But they've had many more number ones in the U.K. and other countries.) Also, Led Zeppelin (one of my other all-time favorite bands) NEVER had a number one song in the U.S. or the U.K., and only six of their songs broke the U.S. top 40 - but Stairway to Heaven is reputedly the most requested song of all time. So radio spins aren't required for long-term success, ladies and gentlemen! The other day Brian responded to a question on his blog about the meaning of the song, "Keep Yourself Alive." He implied it was about the time their band was struggling, and needed to keep up their morale and confidence. I know they went through some pretty lean years, but they did have a great bond (as well as band), so could encourage each other. As a solo artist, Adam is more or less on his own and must depend on himself more. He has "his people" around him, but motives can be dubious. Having mentors like Brian and Roger can be a big boost and, as mentioned earlier, show that it doesn't happen all at once. He seems to have a pretty good attitude about enjoying the journey, and also - thank heavens for Sauli! One other point - even when he was doing all that promo, he made a point of wanting to really connect with his audiences, whether hundreds or dozens. That he loves to sing without a mic. He loves to entertain, and each venue has its merits for him, I think. And he loves his own music. So like he said in that interview, "two different worlds." And he loves them both.

Hey gingerpf, how the heck did you do that? I thought someone said the codec didn't work for Apple, and my brain pretty much died at that point, tech savvy as I am. I've made my dh promise to figure it out, as I'm not allowed to dl anything onto my normal computer... or you can pm me if there's a way I can bloody buy a cd from you! Thank you. Yeah, at this point, I don't care what Queen fans - except talon! - say. I peeked over at their forums, and I feel for them if glamberts are overrunning their forums. What I can't figure out is why some diss Adam as a karaoke singer and then want Marc Martel instead - and I think Martel has a GREAT voice, but zero stage presence, and um, he won in a contest, so uh, what's the diff, except he was singing Christian music before, and that made him more qualified to be a rock gawd LOL. But in comments under Queen Extravaganza vids - and again, I think all those guys, even the girl who's the object of most of the hate - are really talented, there are Marc fans saying, yay, he moved a little in that performance. And go, Marc, he connected with the audience during that song. Different standards anyone? That said, I agree with those who think Adam's diva runs are a bit much. I think his TSMGO now is much better than the EMA performance, but I really like the simplicity of something like IWTBF or CLTCL where he's not wailing as much. Also, why does he let his mouth hang open so much during the Moscow show? The new Moscow jacket that he wore in the Poland press conference was good. Does anyone have the link to the Roger/Brian tv talk show where they talked about Adam? I found it great that at one point when they're talking about Adam, Brian blurts out, "He's glamorous" and I was like, ooh, he's already under his spell hahhaaa. I am happily going down the Queen rabbit hole lately. Oh great concert vids. Stop me guys, I may start watching Queen + PR vids next at this rate...

Try above for FLAC files of the full Moscow gig.

I am honored that my fly-by comment got you out of the lurking! Happy to see you! ok..."celebrity of my choice" would not be Brad Pitt... no reason to name names, we all know who that would be....got rid of my "significant other" two years ago...I guess "going back" did not work for me ;D ;D ;D ;D This is what I posted before: I can't help but wonder what effect the whole Queen experience will have on Adam...how will he be able to go back to playing with his band having played with Brian and Roger... will this have an effect on the type of music he produces, the sound, the feel...... it seems there is a love affair going on there...all of the Queenbert members seem to be in love with each other...the connection between Adam and Brian on that stage is a thing of beauty!() As someone mentioned before - there is nothing even close to this with Tommy... )

stand by my thoughts and words...so it is not about comparing the musicians, but rather about Adam's feelings....we will never know... shoot away
