GN Live release at midnight 3.22.11!!

Glam Nation Live DVD + CD releases tomorrow!

The countdown to the release begins. The DVD+CD is/will be available in North American, NZ, Australia, and throughout Asia and Europe. Some countries will not be released until later in March or in April. But for a DVD from a new artist the breadth of this release is amazing.

The DVD will be available from Adam’s Official online store, plus iTunes, Amazon, and major retailers in most major markets. In the US, the DVD will be stocked by the “big three” retail chains – Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Retailers will be stocking it in the CD Music Departments, but RCA has listed it as a DVD with a bonus CD, so it will chart as a Music DVD and be classified as a Music DVD for RIAA Certification. It will need to sell 50,000 units in the US to be certified as a Gold Video Longform and 100,000 units to be certified as a Platinum Video Longform.

Don’t expect a RIAA certification for this DVD – but it is possible. RIAA Video Longform Certifications are rare. From March 2010 through February 2010 11 solo artists were certified in this category:
Beyonce: Gold, Platinum, 2X Platinum
Bo Burnham: Gold
Neil Diamond: Gold, Platinum, 2X Platinum
Celine Dion: 2 Gold (2 different videos), Platinum
Luis Enrique: Gold
Jimi Hendrix: Gold

Michael Jackson: Gold, Platinum, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X Platinum

Elton John: Gold, Platinum, 2X Platinum
Chonda Pierce: Gold, Platinum

Elvis Presley: 2x Platinum, 4x Platinum (2 different videos)

Barbra Streisand: Gold, Platinum

Also 2 Duos were certified Gold: The Carpenters, White Stripes; and Groups The Doors, Rolling Stones, Rush, Sigur Ros, Slipknot, The Rat Pack (Frank, Dino, Sammy and friends), Third Day and ZZ Top plus concert DVD with Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

The only problem -- is the Super Moon was on Saturday night. But the moon was still pretty super on Monday night.

Joke is on Adam though -- because some fans believe that "Super Moon" is a song title for Adam #2. (And I think they are serious!)

I think Channel Four plays the GNT Live at least every 2 ad breaks, looking at the last time someone tweeted it was on
