Weeeeeeee!!! Just downloaded my Glam Nation iTunes copy! (A bit confused because I had it pre-ordered but it didn't automatically download - so I just canceled the pre-order and downloaded it as a new purchase - hope I didn't pay for it twice! Haha! I'm such a doofus with this kind of stuff!)
It's up to 8 on pop!!

*attempting to download now* Where do I even start?? I watched the DVD and I'm right with you, glittergma!!! It was a blast. Yes, there are a few things I might tweak, but still, it is an absolute blast overall and the end is lulzworthy. I caught the tail-end of that convo about the poster on MJ's that makes that mummified argument about "people who play instruments are more musical" and that "anyone can sing," which makes me want to spit and rage and then say ... HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! Did she miss the last 9,090,828 audition episodes of AI??? Apparently she did. Fail on her. That is just an embarrassingly ludicrous thing to say and I hope the villagers at MJ's come with their torches and pitchforks to sweep her away and drop her off a proverbial cliff, that contention is beyond ridiculous. BRB, I'm thinking I could do open-heart surgery tomorrow ... :D or maybe I'll go solve that pesky nuclear reactor issue in Japan ... See, this is where there is "opinion" and where there is just BS-out-the-ass. That's why I took issue with the RS review. It wasn't about the actual DVD, which I agree, had a couple of issues (with production, not Adam), but the guy used the lamest modes of critique which I've long taken issue with. THAT'S what bugged, not the fact that he didn't rave. Neither here nor there though. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Just a random, late night thought. To all those who have seen/heard the concert DVD/CD..... why do we all feel the need to point out the minor flaws in the recording? Yes, I agree they are there. I commented on them, too. But, the whole package is such a treat and a joy.
We fans seem to think we need to be "objective" in our "reviews" of the DVD. If we don't make comments on its shortcomings, we will sound like BSC fans with no discernment. But, admit it. We are BSC fans, and that DVD is a wonderful gift. Why don't we just flail and embrace it?
Someone made a comment about Adam fans being sometimes highly critical of his work. They make a good point. Adam raises the bar so high in his vocals and his performance that we end up finding what amount to minute or minor flaws, and I am not sure why. I confess --- I do it, too.
Are we diminishing our own pleasure by concentrating on the slightly less than perfect parts? Are we causing ourselves angst because we want Adam to be absolutely perfect all the time? Because we are worried that someone who is not a BSC fan will find some fault in his work? Wouldn't we be happier just sitting back and basking in what wonderfulness he is offering us? Relaxing and letting it flow over and thru us? Are we incapable of just loving it without qualifications?
Let Adam listen to it critically and pick out the parts he wants to improve upon and change. That's his job. I don't have a "job." I listen for my own pleasure. And that DVD is DAMNED PLEASURABLE.
Just some crazy, late night ramblings.

There are some performances of each song that I like more, but they are scattered, not nearly as well done, esp the sound, and this is in my hand, on my huge TV any time I want it. And now it's on my IPod any time I want it. Again, I know I don't have to say it, but we are so, so lucky to have Adam in our lives. He is what makes me smile no matter what else is going on in RL. The fact that Sauli is coming and the record is being worked on makes me ecstatic because now Adam can be as happy as I am. I hope everyone else is in bed because this is so sappy, but I don't care...............he's a treasure

Love your crazy, late night ramblings, Cassie! I agree that Adam has set the bar so high, are we afraid that he is too perfect? Or that we're not discerning enough? I'm so jealous as I won't have my DVD until Wednesday, and you're all flailing and squeeing and immersing yourselves in Adam goodness, so I intend to fully enjoy it when I finally get it!

I am flailing, embracing, and loving every fucking minute of it!! I have no knowledge of ANY flaws in the DVD, what so ever!!! I love it to the end of the world!!!! FLAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!! It makes me soooooo happy, I can't even tell you. I just watched it for the 2nd time and then caught most of RPDR. Raja was so awesome! So happy for him too! It's all about the happy for me!! I don't care if there are flaws. I don't see them. I just see the most awesome MAN with the most awesome VOICE I've ever heard. The rest is just subjective. Doesn't matter to me. Just the way I roll!! ILHSFM and thank God that I found him when I did!!

One more comment about why people might be commenting on the DVD. We saw Adam at the beginning of the tour. We saw him all the way through it. He did evolve during the tour. We saw him get betterer and betterer. He, and only HE could do this.
Maybe that is why some think the DVD isn't up to par?? I don't know. I do know that I love it dearly!!
The only thing I would change would be if he sang Broken Open on it. I was one of the lucky ones to get to hear that live in CB, my one and only concert. It was totally amazing. It was a night that I will treasure forever!!
Guess this thread is dead...lol! Go figure! Oh crap..it's almost 2AM & I have to get up early for work.
Night, guys!! I know I'll sleep good & very, very happy!!!
~Hugs~
