abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/07/adam-lambert-to-return-to-american-idol-as-a-judge/#.T_rnEyphoF8.twitterBy ABC News Jul 9, 2012 5:53am Adam Lambert to Return to ‘American Idol’ as a Judge?“The X Factor” judges’ table has already undergone a major makeover. Could the “American Idol” panel be next? E! News reports Fox has been in talks with Adam Lambert for over a month to serve as a new judge on “Idol.” Lambert, of course, got his big break on “American Idol” when he finished in second place during the 2008 season. So why the need for Adam on “Idol?” E! News reports that Jennifer Lopez doesn’t intend to return to the show, though a source says, “I don’t know if they can afford Jennifer, but they have let it be known that she has a guaranteed spot if she wants it.” Furthermore, E! News reports, the status of Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler on the show is also up in the air.

I have no idea what the right move would be career-wise if AI judging was offered, but selfishly I would love to see him on tv every week. He would be the first judge with extensive vocal training. All judges have been worthless in this category. Remember how specific Adam's critiques were as guest judge? Our boy knows what he's talking about! It would at least put Adam in the driver's seat regarding visibility. Better than schlepping around doing radio PR I agree but it seems they would be in the market for a female judge. Don't want to be a daisy downer but I think a 3 person all male panel is unlikely unless Tyler is also leaving. My opinion is that Randy is leaving and possibly even Steven. They are going to try to keep Jennifer. If they want to make their judging panel younger and more current, like The Voice and X Factor, then Randy has to go. A perfect panel might be Adam, Jennifer, and Jimmy. Jimmy would be the mean one. Adam would be the knowledgable voice mentor/judge. Jennifer would be the loving/mama one. Someone asked if Jimmy would try to get his artists on the judging panel. Possibly, but remember, 19 still has a stake in Adam with 19R. The show is Freemantle and 19 Entertainment, not Interscope.

www.mtv.ca/news/article.jhtml?id=44190Adam Lambert To Become 'American Idol' Judge?Lambert is reportedly being floated as possible judge for the upcoming 'Idol' season. Posted By: Gil Kaufman, MTV.com Mon, 09 Jul 2012 14:04:40 GMT The revolving judge door at "American Idol" may be spinning again and this time producers may be looking no further than the "Idol" stage for their next celebrity panelist. With Jennifer Lopez's return for season 12 currently a question mark, E! News is reporting that a new name is being floated as a possible replacement: season eight winner Adam Lambert. The glitter-loving former runner-up has reportedly been in talks for over a month and an unnamed source said show runners think he's the perfect match for the vacant spot. "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start," said an unnamed source. "He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him." more..

TV Guide @tvguide Which #Idol alum is in talks to become a judge? bit.ly/NiOuGbFantastic publicity for those who haven't been following Adam's career! "...Since his Idol run, Lambert, 30, has sold more than 4.2 million albums worldwide and earned a Grammy nomination. His second album, Trespassing, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard in May. He's currently performing a string of shows in Europe with Queen."I.Like.This.
