Hello everyone! I am here in rainy London....so excited! I personally stopped worrying about him the night he stood on that EMA stage in "Scotland". He is a force of nature and like a river in full on rush to the sea he will just flow around any obstacle In his path. idol judge or not, it's all good! Love to all those on the itunes trail. I am technologically challenged but was happy to give -let me know if more is needed Lizzie |

Can I just say that if American radio is such a cluster fuck of assholes who can't hear good music when it jumps up and bites them in the ass then - as noted by several people here, well the most polite thing I can think of is screw them. Adam should move to London, take over Europe where they seem to have an appreciation for him and then return triumphantly to US when he is so popular in the rest of the world they look like idiots for not playing his music. And if they still don't well I can name more than a few artists who do pretty well for not having had US radio success. As a reminder even Gaga had to make it in EU clubs before she crossed over and was played by mainstream radio. There is a while big wide (open minded) world out there where Adam is being embraced and which his little side gig with a band called Queen isn't hurting one bit. Carry on. YES And AMEN His side gig with Queen is not his own music. Adam wants success in the US, radio success in the US. I don't know why that is so hard to understand or relate to? :-/ |

I was just thinking about the whole radio resistance to Adam and it really does not make sense...and there has to be a reason that goes beyond simple prejudice whether against the gay thing or the AI thing. Is it even possible that in fact, this is a test of the power of radio...that radio is seeing its power and influence wane and this is the push back to show that you cannot 'succeed' in pop without them and the labels are using adam to try and show radio that indeed, that is not the case.
If anyone can make it without radio, it is Adam....between his strong fan base, his international presence, the queen connection, and his endorsement by so many big name entertainers, it would seem if he can't make it...RADIO will have won.
I am just trying to make sense of a nonsense situation....maybe it really is all politics and adam is the football....

Adam is competing with the tops in the music business right now & he's the new kid on the block. For being the new kid on the block Adam is doing incredibly well. Katy ,Kelly,Carrie ,RiRi have all been at it longer than Adam.. Adam Levine and Maroon5 out there longer..I mean Adam may be the best singer,but they have more time out in the field and they have built a huge fan base.JB is an entirely different story. IMHO Adam will have a great career ,with ups and downs,like everyone else in show business.. IMHO,there isn't a single line to the top in the music industry. Thank you for this post. It made me feel better. I was starting to feel really sad. JMO but Adam has only been out there for three years...he is just starting...and he has something he has to fight everyday in his career that Katy, Kelly, Carrie, RiRi, Adam Levine and other big names don't....freakin' Homophobia. To be judged not by your talent and character but by whom you choose to love is so unfair but that is the reality of it out there. It isn't an even playing field for Adam with his art and music compared to the music of his peers out there today. But I feel Adam has too much talent, drive, charisma, character, and positive energy to not ultimately prevail. At first I might not have liked the idea of him being a judge on AI but if Adam wants it then I'm going to support him and vote in every blank blank poll trying to hype this thing. |
