A little off-topic, but I have been watching the new television show from Amazon called "Transparent" about an older man transitioning to become a woman. The show stars Jeffrey Tambor, and it is truly excellent and thought-provoking. All the actors are great and it shows the complicated nature of family dynamics amidst change. Worth watching -- and here is the Adam connection: in the opening credits there is a young man performing at a family event like a wedding, and he really reminds me of Adam (when you watch, you will definitely know who I am talking about). www.amazon.comI knew Jeffrey Tambour before he became famous, as he used to work-out at the same gym I did on many occasions, Bally's in Studio City, CA. A the time Nautilus Aerobic Plus) I used to flit between downtown LA, Glendale and Pasadena. The manner in which he speaks and his personal nuances are his and he lends them to his roles. He has become quite successful in his own right. I was always fascinated by him, as I love people that are quirky and nuance every word or movement. He has those qualities tenfold. Another person like that is Vincent D'Onofrio of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. We used to have fascinating conversations as we did our workouts on the elliptical machines side by side.
He lends credence to his roles, and I have to admit this one is powerful. He always seemed to have a script in his hand, which he studied while doing his workout. He seemed to welcome the conversations. But that was at least 15-20 years ago. He since then has had many roles that have brought him onto people's radar, and he has become an accomplished actor. I would consider him a strong character actor.
How does this relate to Adam.... I dunno. Just an interesting tidbit on a slow day. I agree the performer somewhat is a reminder of Adam.

I personally believe that Adam's darker side is quite deep, deep as the ocean. He's clubs, he stays in contact with friends, he is around people, he stays very busy because I think he knows how deep his dark side is and does not allow himself to succumb to it. As a result, he remains in perpetual motion to avoid it.
However, I think this tour with Queen has given him a new perspective, and they may have talked extensively about Freddie, the dichotomomy of his personality ( the entertainer on stage and the very private and quiet person off stage). I hope so, because it may have given him a new perspective on dealing.

This is such a masculine studly walk. Between the tats, the clothes, he epitomizes a major rock star. He absolutely amazes me!!!

Glamberts won't change modern media but Shosh also doesn't change Glamberts. Fact! I'm not a huge Shosh fan all the time, personal, not professional, but if I were her I'd be tearing my hair out about some of the psycho fans. I'm one of the first to get aggravated about mistakes, I often read a book or Sunday paper with a red pen in my hand, but come on, both Adam and Shosh asked us to back off. Why is that so hard? But you're right, you can seldom change people, especially the self righteous ones. If only they realized how bad they make the whole fandom, and by association, Adam, look! JMO Unfortunately it is not so different than any of the other fandoms. Each artist has their cray ones. I think the press, and quasi-journalists understand it. I don't think they would back off from Adam coverage because he is a hoopla magnet, and despite the cray, there are so many other "normal, not over-the-top" fans.
