I cannot whistle either. Nor can I get much of a sound snapping my fingers. Nor can I roll my tounge. There is actually a gene that determines the ability to roll your tounge. BUT, I CAN DANCE!!! We will have to team up! I can't dance worth a hoot, but I can whistle. I can also tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue, evidence of too many nights in the bar. I am quite good at whistling, I can dance, I can roll my tongue and I can snap my fingers. BUT - I always have been in awe of people who can make a knot into a cherry stem with their tongue... How the heck does that work? And I have no excuse, because I spent a lot some time in bars and still can't do it

Roger is behind a smidge in the drum battle poll.
I've been away all weekend, and was surprised to see the vote so close. Sorry to be the odd man out, but as much as I respect Roger as a drummer and as a man, Neil Peart holds almost God-like status in our house. Just a few examples of his skills.... for those who care. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_PeartSame here. I adore Roger, but Neil is a drum god, he really is :-)

I am a big Robbie Williams fan and for me he can't do wrong. But singing Queen and especially Bohemian Rhapsody wasn't his best choice - lol! He's still a big star here in Europe and we love him more for his showmanship than for his voice. His voice is (normally) really good but far from perfect. Robbie is the born entertainer, he sings wonderful pop and swing and when I've seen him last year live in Berlin, he was SPECTACULAR! He is a very open, charming, funny and vulnerable person and went through lots of bad stuff in his life, but he's overcome all of these obstacles and his fans love him especially for that. Strange that I love Robbie AND Adam - they couldn't be more different ETA: And with saying that they are different I didn't mean that Adam isn't funny, vulnerable or open ...

The political correctness in America is a beast of its own I think. It's something a lot of Europeans are irritated or puzzled about... Not that I think that political correctness is something bad, I really think people should give their best not offending other people or hurt their feelings by saying something bad or offensive. But it should be well dosed IMHO. What seems strange for me is for example that when there is a religious holiday like Christmas or Hannukah or Eastern, I often see the addition "for those who celebrate". That's something you'd never see here in Europe. It's clear that if you wish a bunch of people "Merry Christmas" that you only direct it to the ones who celebrate it, there's no need to point it out separately. And seoulmate, I think he said: "some real stuff -- stuff that's not always so easy to talk about, not so PC." So I guess he's hitting some hot topics on TOH, which I would love to hear! I love genuine lyrics!
