^ I third that. And not just his drumming which is subtle and always fits the song very well. To me Roger's backing vocals are as much part of the "sound" of Queen as Brian's guitar. Agree Talon. I have major respect for Roger's talent. Talon how have the Queen fans accepted, through the years, Neil, Spike, and now Rufus? Quick bit of it: Queen fans have generally accepted Spike. Some people would rather see the band as a foursome and say that it was better with just the four of them. There are also some who prefer Fred Mandel who toured with them in the US in 1982 and actually worked on the Works album a bit - saying that Fred was a better keyboardist. BUT overall he's been accepted - not beloved but accepted. Some have had bad experiences with him when they met him saying he was arrogant, some love him. I like him well enough. Neil - Much like Danny Miranda before I have never heard anyone say anything bad about him. They miss John but they think that both Danny and Neil are both adequate replacements. Rufus - For the most part again, no issues with Rufus though some thing Roger uses him as a crutch and he's superfluous but all in all he's liked.

By the way, "Drowse" is one of my absolute favorite Queen songs, and I have a lot of respect for "I'm in love with my car" as well. Tenement Funster is my fav of the early years! Some of his solo stuff is phenomenal too!

]Still not buying their mindset on Adam but it's their lose, Talon Don't think there is any rationale that would make sense to me. Totally cool with their love of Freddie and that Freddie is and always will be "the man". Just don't get the whining. Since they love B&R and enjoy the opportunity of being able to see them live again, they should be nothing but happy. But they are only slighting themselves. To be fair - Real Wizard specifically(whom we were talking about) didn't whine about Adam at all. He's never said anything negative about him. He really is nothing but happy about it. He just isn't an Adam fan per se. To OTHERS in general. I agree. I am of the mindset that it's my fav musicians playing a catalogue I like. I'd honestly go no matter who was singing. The fact that Adam is a great vocalist makes it an easier choice

RESPONDING FROM YESTERDAY: It's not too hard . He enjoys seeing Brian play anything. I don't think he hates Adam or anything....he just wouldn't be his choice. He loves B&R and loves the music so it's an easy choice to go Must be hard for him to rationalize though, because without Adam right now, there'd be no Brian and Roger show to see! No matter how much anyone dislikes Adam, it has to be obvious to any reasonable Queen diehard, that this tour is bringing so much joy to Brian and Roger and they are playing better than ever! And both men have said, without Adam, this would not be happening! Oh from conversations I've had with him, he'd be grateful that it got B&R going again...he just doesn't like Adam's voice/performances. He's VERY glad that Brian and Roger are enjoying themselves...and appreciates the chance to see them one last time (if it is the last chance) I can understand and even appreciate that someone could dislike Adam's voice or the choice to use him to front Quee. But to HATE him because of it? Seriously, where does that even come from.  Says a lot about that person and none of it is good.  So sad, makes my heart hurt.  :-/ Bad choice of words...I didn't mean that he hates Adam as a person. I simply meant that he hates Adam's voice and performance and the choice to use him to front the band. He hates Adam with Queen. I don't think he has any thoughts/feelings on Adam the man one way or another. Most of the old school Queen fans on these sites that I know of - None of them really *hate* Adam per se. Not many of them like him fronting the band for the same reason as mentioned earlier by a few of you. They are imprinted that Queen is Freddie singing. Hell I'm even like that to a degree. Queen is always and will always be Freddie/Brian/Roger/John. I look at QAL like I looked at QPR. They are separate bands entirely. And that's completely fine. It allows me to quite enjoy the collaboration I think people know my thoughts clearly. If I had my ultimate wish it would be to see Brian and Roger put on an intimate storytellers like gig with them singing the whole time and doing obscure album tracks. But that wouldn't really be Queen either. QPR was a different animal - despite them still using the Queen catalogue (and some of Paul Rodgers) it was more of an experiment to go a bit away from the bombast theatricaltiy and into a more bluesy straightforward rock band. It worked well for what it was especially as B&R were still a bit hesitant about being QUEEN again. QAL, I think is just about B&R saying fuck it. Queen is really in it's final act now. They aren't really looking to be that forward thinking anymore, it's just a good excuse to be able to perform the catalogue with someone who can sing and perform and do it in a theatrical style so that it is more about being QUEEN again and reaching out to those who still want to hear the music. It's definitely far safer musically than QPR was which isn't necessarily a bad thing which is one reason I am a Queen fan that wants to see an album with AL so as to inject a bit more creativity and danger into the pairing if that makes sense. I also think someone like Adam *IS* the only way to inject some of that. Paul for example being of the same pedigree and age, is still writing and recording the same type of thing which is what The Cosmos Rocks was (and why it got mixed reviews). With AL they might stretch themselves again which would be nice to see.

One of my all time fav Queen sites...although the owner does hate Adam lol...He was very slow to update the QAL stuff before...he is going to go to a few of the European gigs despite his dislike of Adam so maybe it'll change his mind - though I doubt it. The Real Wizard is a friend of mine...he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable...He actually doesn't really like Adam too much either BUT I look to him as an example of how an anti-Adam Queen fan should act. He is very graceful....He did enjoy the gig he saw... well I will never understand how it is possible to enjoy a show where you don't care for the singing of the lead vocalist. If I felt that way I would not spend my money. I would just listen to my cd's. Different strokes for different folks I guess. It's not too hard . He enjoys seeing Brian play anything. I don't think he hates Adam or anything....he just wouldn't be his choice. He loves B&R and loves the music so it's an easy choice to go

Well of course he doesn't like Adam because he posts on a Queen site and we have all been made only too aware that no Queen fan could possibly endorse Adam....... However, what is refreshing is that he does manage to make reasonable comments without appearing at all passive aggressive I post on a Queen site or two and I enjoy Adam...I don't bother endorsing because for the most part people on a site already have their mind made up.

It probably means nothing at all BUT Queen has played Imagine a few times in concert so if B/R wanted to or were asked to be involved they would be able to quickly jump in Queen Live 1980 -- THE VIDEO is from Montreal 81 - the poster took the bootleg audio and synced it as there is no known video of Queen doing it. This was right after John Lennon was shot - they did it a few times. Later on QPR did it at Hyde Park after the terrorist attacks in London which actually delayed this show by a few weeks (and caused a planned collaboration with The Darkness to not happen...) In this vid Brian sings a verse, Roger sings a verse, and then Paul! Might have nothing at all to do with it but...just a thought
