I question the validly of these rates since it is a booking firm in Virginia that does not have Adam or Daughry signed to them. At least that is what I am gathering from their web site. Bo Bice is on their client list. Booking firms can litterally put anyone on their "list" as they can broker almost any artist. One of the firms I used to use would just ask for my price range and then he woud send a list with hundreds and hundreds of people listed... from Janet Jackson to the Smothers Brothers. If I'm interested in one of the acts, they contact that artists booking agent and they get a piece of the action. The ranges are often so wide, but it still gives you an idea. If I'm looking for a $25,000 act... it does tell me who can stay away from. If I have $75,000 most acts, aside from superstars are fairly attainable at that range. It's your audience that makes the difference. A daughtry audience isn't going to have much interest in Adam Lambert and vice versa. They are both worth $150,000 to the right event, venue, audience.

Hi all, I have a little insight from my experiences hiring various entertainers over the years. It's not a full-time thing, but rather has been an on again off again part of my job -- and then because I had a little know-how, I "volunteered" my expertise for some local events. So I am in no way an expert but thought I share a few insights/opinions. ![Shades1](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/icon_cool.gif) I defer to anyone who comes along with more knowledge and experience. My two-cents... The fees listed on the previous pages actually seem fairly accurate to me. Some of those ranges are pretty wide... and that is actually what's so accurate about it. The fees artists command varries greatly depending on the situation. For instance, I hired Bill Cosby for a one-off show for $125,000 (this has been at least 10 years ago). In that same year, Cosby's people organized a tour and his performance fee for a public show in the same city was $80,000. Generally speaking a one-off is going to cost more than a traveling tour. However there are variables there as well. Sometimes a piece of ticket sales is involved which allows for a lower up front fee. When we needed to hire entertainment for a private event, we always looked first at acts we were interested in who were criss- crossing the country at the same time. Much much better deals to be had that way. It also doesn't necessarily matter if the artist has a current hit. Using Clay Aiken as an example (someone has already mentioned him...) He has enough name recognition that his fee is probably in the $50,000 - $100,000 range depending on the scenario -- lower in some cases and higher in some. He may not have many offers at the top of that range... but that's his range. If he did come up with a hit song, or tv show, or something buz-worthy the range might increase a little, but what would increase more would be the offers. I'm fairly certain Adam is not being paid $500,000 for the casino gig. It is more likely in the neighborhood of $150,000 - $200,000. I could be a little low but I don't think so. Those are just a few thoughts. If I can chime in with additional relevant info as the discussion continues... I sure will. And please feel free to disagree or correct me. As I said.... this isn't my full-time thing. I'm more of a dabbler.

Ok so now if all those rich people who paid $700+ for a concert ticket would go purchase Trespassing, I would appreciate it. :-)

Q3 said Adam from Fault Magazine. This photo never made a banner and I think it is so banner-worthy I have been waiting for the perfect day. Doesn't Adam look like he should be on TV? Fox execs, this one is dedicated to you. I consider this Idol Judges search an intelligence test. Hope you pass! Q3 Love the banner pic today!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

If this is true, it is much sadder for Idol than Adam. Adam will be just fine on his road to being iconic, but Idol passed up a chance to have an excellent panel that would help revive an aging show. I agree Jean... Adam will be fine. I'm not sure I will though. I want Adam on my TV weekly.... oh wait. ![RedDancer](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/party-smiley-017.gif) I want new music... oh wait. ![GrinSmiliey](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/grin.png) I want more Queenbert... oh wait. ![SpinDance](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Chapf%20smileys/spin.gif) What I really want that I don't have yet, is Adam on tour all across this great country, and the world, so we can all share in the goodness that is Adam Lambert LIVE!! ![AdamSing](//storage.proboards.com/3270318/images/Agjh6ck4QHEcIMNXPaLx.gif) As far as the Idol judging saga... we'll know soon enough. ![Popcorn!](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/smiley-popcorn.gif)
