That was a great contest, and I'm glad Adam and Sauli watched all the videos together. Great winners (I do love that second place random video...).
This totally made up for any AI stuff, and now I don't have to slog my way through that show every week either--WIN!

Since it's a fairly slow day, I'm going to repost this link to a video of Trespassing backwards. I posted it yesterday but no one commented and I think it's really hilarious ... which makes me think 1) no one noticed it because I don't know how to embed, or 2) I'm the only one that thought it was funny and that makes me a little weird, or 3) everyone commented and my little pea brain just missed it. It's been around Twitter already. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzBMHe9Lg5c&feature=youtu.be I love this comment: "It's amazing how even played backwards, it sounds better than half the shit they play on radio!" I saw this a couple of days ago when it was posted on twitter. The words added are just hilarious, and the person who wrote the above quote is right on--he sounds great played either way. I kept trying to transpose the song in my mind when listening, though...hah.

Kamar --
The person you were referring to on Fashion Police is actually a very well-known comedian by the name of Joan Rivers. Some people love her and some hate her -- I have a lot of respect for her as one of the women who really broke barriers in the world of comedy back in the 60's. She has been in the business for a LONG time and knows everybody. You might want to look at the last few pages of yesterday's thread as a few of us had some discussion about her. 8-)

The Joan Rivers we see on TV is a character she plays and is very unlike the real Joan Rivers. *** My father-in-law and her husband, Edgar Rosenberg, both were in the UCLA Medical Center in 1984 recovering from heart surgery. Edgar was very ill and suffering from depression. The doctors warned Joan that he could die. My mother-in-law became friends with Joan and they stayed in touch until she died a few years ago. Anyone who has been through a situation like this knows that it is easy to think only about your husband, and not too much about other people. And after spending 3 or 4 days sharing a waiting room with Joan Rivers, there was no doubt she was very worried about Edgar. Even with this, and tired from not getting much sleep, at one point she put on a Mickey Mouse ears hat and entertained the patients and staff with an impromptu comedy routine. *** Setting aside my personal observation of Joan, she has been a staunch supporter of LBGT equality and has many gay fans. *** Here is Joan Rivers in 1967 from the Ed Sullivan Show. Yes, the routine is very 1967 -- but this is long before she became a caricature of herself. I have always admired Joan Rivers because she is such a pioneer of comedy and for her amazing work ethic. If anyone is interested I would recommend the excellent documentary on her life that came out a year or two ago. She has gone through a lot and has come out the other side. Yeah she is crass and campy, but I think she liked having Adam on her show. I also noticed Adam laughing pretty hard a couple of times. Thanks for your story, Q3! I have a funny story about another celebrity at UCLA that I will have to share sometime (I did chaplaincy training there one summer).

I can't seem to get into the ticket presale site from the fan club page. Is there a presale code I need for ticketmasters?

Kat111 -- WELCOME!!!
I really wish I could go to the concert in AZ next month--especially since I used to live there and my parents currently live in the Phoenix area...so close but so far! Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to go since I am currently looking for a new job and it's on a Wednesday (which means if I have a new job by then--hopefully--I will have to be working). Sigh. Real life is interfering with my stanning, seriously. This is just wrong! LOL.
