I was at both of the Texas shows, just got back last night, and am working on my recap.
Before the Houston show, met up with Juniemoon and her sister, and LindaG23 and her brother, great fun seeing them again. I first met LG at the infamous Lubbock hotter than hell concert in 2010, and we have seen each other a few times since. I was with my sister, so it was a siblings gathering, we had a great time visiting and eating wonderful Chinese food. By the time we got to the concert, the line wasn't really very long.
The people we sat next to had driven all day, barely got there in time, and butterknife this is one of the reasons why people buy food at concerts. Plus, being a weeknight, some people don't have time to eat before......

Hi guys. Just got back from Dallas concert. Adam was on the top of his game delivering the high notes that we love so well. Damon that man is the ultimate showman. Forgive infernal Uto correct. Awesome awesome awesome I loved it all different vibe from Houston imo. Adam aS glowing in the big H S soon as he hit the stage. But tonight in Dallas he gave more. Will write more after I get back home. Hope you 'll enjoy the pics etc. It was Griffin. F r I g g I n the time of my life. So sorry I didn't get to meet Sal and get it girl

Are ya'll going to the pre-concert party at Lucky Strike? All details in the Houston concert thread. I'm going to be at both Houston and Dallas and so is Melisende, she is riding to Dallas with me and we're sharing a room. Haven't heard if there is going to be any get together in Dallas yet. Hope we can meet too! I'm not, don't know about amw. I invited my sister to the concert, she is not a fan, so didn't think she would enjoy the party. Haven't heard of any parties in Dallas, but let me know if you hear of one, would love to finally meet you! |

You guys have got to stop showing all these hot moves. I'm trying to resist.  Anyway, I have a couple of questions. Are cameras allowed at these concerts? I don't want to worry about mine getting confiscated. Also, do many people use binoculars? I want to take mine but don't want to look too silly if I'm the only one using them. I also want to say how much we lurkers appreciate this board. I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself when I say this place gives me all the Adam news I need, especially when RL gets in the way so much of the time. I'll give a report on the Texas concerts. I'm rather curious to see what the reaction will be to Adam in such a conservative state. I figure Dallas is probably more conservative than Houston and it looks as though not as many seats were sold in Dallas. I think he will win all those redneck, gun toting, bible thumpers over with his glorious self. Can't wait!! I'll be at the Texas shows too. I actually think that the crowd will be just fine with all of Adam's on stage antics. There is a pretty decent Adam fan base here in our ridiculously red state judging by the shows i have seen at the Winstar Casino. and don't worry about what anyone thinks about those binoculars! I'll have mine for sure!! I don't want to miss that Killer Queen couch moment. I want up close details at the concert. Waiting for vids later just isn't good enough. I can't wait! Also, lots of fashion and culture there. The Mayor of Houston is gay. Austin is the music capital of the south, and it is only 3 hours from either Houston or Dallas (well maybe a little further to Dallas). Houston and Dallas both have thriving gay friendly atmospheres, and a lot of those redneck, gun toting bible thumpers are long time Queen fans. Houston I think has sold more seats than Dallas from what I can tell. I promise you, those concerts are going to ROCK HARD, I am so excited!!!!!! Sorry, just had to defend the great state of Texas!

My impression (don't have any facts to base it on) is that Adam does not like his freckles. Maybe he got teased a lot about them as a kid? But, he doesn't think they are "rock star." Looking down at his hands and seeing a sea of freckles does not please him, so he wears the gloves. Too bad. Cuz I just luuuuv all the freckles! I don't think so. My guess (also with no facts) is that they are part of his "costume". They are worn by bikers with leather jackets. They are worn by borders, bladers, and neo-punk rock kids. He was wearing a biker jacket. They go with it. I think they look great on him most times, and rarely look out of place. (I do not know the white ones with the white suit from 2010.) Out of place, people in the audience who do not own motorcycles wearing them.  I LOVE the gloves!!!!! Makes his hands look very sexy, and bad ass all around. I think he wears them to absorb the sweat in in palms and give a better grip on the mike, very functional and appealing. Just my 2 cents

In case anyone missed my announcement a couple of days ago, I have added a couple of posts to the Tech questions thread, The last post is a list of QAL 2014 high quality audio recordings. These recordings are almost always in FLAC audio format. I will be adding to this list as high quality audio comes in. In the post above that one, I posted detailed instructions for using a very easy, simple, free software that will create an audio CD out of FLAC files. I will post instructions later this weekend for converting the FLAC files to MP3, M4A, or other formats. But if you want to make a CD, you will get the best quality audio by using this software for burning directly from FLAC to CD rather than converting to MP3 and then burning a CD from the MP3. I will also post some instructions later in the week (probably while I am in LA or LV) for how to do this on a Mac. If you have questions about any of my instructions, please send me a PM.
