Morning musings I have been a fan of Adam and his music for almost ten years. In this span of that time.. I have heard,read,etc..some fans wringing their hands over Adam's lack of A status on POP charts ,on radio, etc. Much moaning and quite honestly to me, unnecessary worry about Adam's ,in my estimation, incredible career. The music business sucks ,I think we all know this to be true.. YET Adam is a very respected and loved singer in this business. Longevity was his goal and look at him.. after ten years he is mighty Ok.. a Multimillionaire, with two careers , many solo performances all over the world.. (like Cher,Elvis,) a boyfriend, etc. He is thriving without radio play, without a number one pop hit.. It would be so wholesome if some folks could see all the positives ,rather than focusing on some negatives.. It's a bit tiresome, leading some fans to march over to other sites.. Just saying. Adam is not a victim. we should all be so successful. If Adam was totally worried about being a hit ,he wouldn't have gone independent..Neverthless fans can do their part by streaming his music, playing it on Youtube ,etc.. I mean if you are really worried you can actually do something to make yourself feel better.. support your favorite singer.. Wringing your hands will do nothing but get you chapped hands,I think. I love Apple and have been streaming there....Three months free.. doesn't hurt a bit.Let's get" Coming in Hot to Two Million".. That's productive, don't you think?BTW Adam helped open the flood gates for other gay singers.. He is not only a singer but a mover and shaker..I'm just soooo proud of being a fan of this man. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h-vd8QiLLw Love this post

My perspective on this is a bit specific as I work in PR in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) industry that spent YEARS trying to break the association with drugs and the negative aspects of the rave culture. There are clear guidelines for our artists not to use any, even very loose, substance references on social media, videos, and public appearances, that includes pot that's legal in a number of states and provinces. And I dodn't doubt that all of them still manage to get their creative message across, or at least no one has complained. But then there was one producer who was like: "you guys can suck it" and made a track titled "Molly". LOL Fortunately he's not with my agency so we didn't have to personally deal with the fallout but the industry as a whole was not amused. We also tell out clients to never ever engage with Negative Nancys on social media. What it does, is make you look a) petty b) defensive. I always say, if you feel like answering to a hater, answer to 3 fans/positive messages instead, don't validate/reward negativity. For that reason, I hate it when Adam gets sassy in comments. Also, I don't get this whole "I do what I want" attitude/comments because it has the potential to come off as cocky and dismissive which, as some of the fan comments in the last 24 hours show, has happened here. Don't approach the masses as sheep, take them for granted and act like "you don't care" or roll your eyes when someone doesn't understands your slang. Not a good look AT ALL. See... to me this PC-inspired-direction dictated or suggested to your artists is exactly what Adam decided to leave behind... idk who is right and who is wrong here, obviously there are several sides to the same “truth”... The other important misconception IMO is that some see a drug reference in the MV where it is clearly NOT the case. (I remember similar discussions re TOH, and what he was referring to)... it is so misleading to assume that only drugs bring happiness, joy, light, etc... The MV is clearly talking about different muses and he explains that to him it is LOVE. So, why are we playing to the lowest denominator here and talking hallucinogenic drugs (or any other kinds)? The song is a love song, it is inspirational, it is catchy, it is deep... love it! This is best interpretation of the MV - thanks nica575

On the link it say's, As they prep for a massive tour with Adam Lambert in place of the irreplaceable Freddie Mercury, Brian May & Roger Taylor take stock, "we knew what we wanted" they tell Mark Blake "it was just a question of getting it". That coupled with the quote on the front of the mag saying "Freddie didn't want us to stop" leads me to suspect there will be a part about their collab with Adam. So even the irreplaceable gets my goat.. OK so I guess I got up on the wrong side of the bed... LOL Just so tired of Adam eating humble pie or made to look like ok he's the best we can get kind of thing.. I truly believe that Adam sings Queen songs better than Freddie .. but that has nothing to do with the magnitude of Mercury's talent." Nobody puts baby in the corner" What melliemom said.

So after listening to New Eyes and watching the video about 10 times, I'm brought back to a time when I was a teenager, sitting in my bedroom , my little black transistor radio on my favorite music station. It was a few years after the Beatles invasion, and I liked some of their songs---but much preferred Dylan , the Stones, and Joan Baez. Then on it came, this song with the strangest, most compelling vibe..."Let me take you down---------------Strawberry Fields Forever." I couldn't articulate what it did to my senses, but it took me somewhere-----and I never felt the same about the Beatles again. I finally GOT IT,and I saw that they mattered.New Eyes brings me someplace ; I'm not sure why, but I think this song will make Adam matter to alot of people. My daughter always says to me,"Yeah, Mom, of course Adam's voice is beautiful but he has to sing a song that matters. I think he's already sung many songs that"matter," including Outlaws Of Love, but New Eyes presents the musical tone that carries the story---that may just be the one that makes many non fans stop and listen. I guess we'll see. Adam, my courageous man. Dear Lorraine you and momtomany have such a way with words, it always seems to convey what and how I'm feeling but I could never put it into words on paper. So just here to say ditto and thank you for such heartfelt responses.

I like the red jacket itself but do not think this current hair/face look is wonderful, amazing or attractive. *ducks* I agree
