lorraine said "Kind of tired out here on the west coast-emotionally exhausted following all the anticipation, and finally the awesome delivery of Adam's new "baby." He and Laleh sounded beautiful together----brought Idol up to a new level once again. As he stood there singing the opening lines with his incredible voice , my husband, who can't seem to turn away or actually make that full choice to sit down right beside me whenever Adam is on the TV, stood in the background, once again,---he, "the non-committal,constant observer." As transfixed as I was by the amazing performance, I was just as taken in by Adam's all-out exuberance and JOY when the song ended. I fully realize that it's this very exhilaration that is Adam's gift to me---and dare I say, to so many all around the world. I see it with people he interacts with everywhere he goes, and I certainly see it with Brian and Roger who had a twinkle in their eyes and a curious smile, from the moment they laid eyes on him. So up there on the stage tonight, I saw a 34 year-old man who could hardly contain himself after he finished his new, surprise song----so he jumped up and down, not once, but twice---{reminded me of my little 8 year-old grandson when he is so excited that he jumps up and down because ,as he explains to me,"I feel like I'm going to burst, Grammie!"} Since season 8 on Idol, Adam has been giving this gift to me so that, even in the dark moments of life, I can put on his music, hear his "melting gold," voice, {Melinda Doolittle's apt description} and somehow the world seems beautiful and right again." Thank you dearest,Adam. You are my ODE to JOY....... I was at the show in Charlotte and it was great I'm thinking that streaming and videoing should no longer be allowed. The fury by a few over the set list and time just ruined what I considered a wonderful performance. Folks leaving loved the show. Never in my life have I judged a show by its length or how many songs were sung a great performance was all I cared about. I think I need to take a break from adamtopia. It has become a downer for me I went to two shows, Atlantic City and State Theatre, both were the shorten sets but it didn't matter, Adam was awesome, the band, the lighting the entire show including Alex Newell. AC was more costly only because I didn't want to drive at night. Didn't matter I would do it again in a heart beat. Just my opinion.

I am not Hoppers, but I am very willing to continue the tradition until she is back. And yes, I can certainly use my usual coffee / whisky lolly today. And what a day to celebrate too! I have barely had time to look yet, heard only a snippet from Runnin', but he made me tear up already. Adam has his own tour, with screaming audiences. Bringing happiness and leaving people dazed and confused and euphoric where he goes. No doubt we will discover more layers in his designs. No doubt he will evolve, get even better during the tour. We might even see goofy sexy Adam on stage. For now I am just insanely grateful and happy that he will be travelling the world with his vison and his voice (and that in a couple of months I will be there to live it live). So... Anyone in for a lolly?

At first glance, it seems like a well polished and rehearsed show. Almost like a Broadway event. Very vocal centric. Just wish he had thrown in a surprise Shame (and left off Aftermath...sorry/not sorry) and been ridiculous. Maybe there's hope for that down the road. lol. Or maybe he's evolved and matured way past me. lol. I want well scripted production and stunning vocals AND some more sexy, spontaneous stuff. Looks like that's going to be during IIHY....and when he's on stage with QAL. Not coming at you, Bama, but I've seen other posts echo yours in that Adam isn't being sexy enough. Singapore was its own thing and Adam had to walk a fine line on that one. Beijing is Adam's first TOH concert and it's in China. His songs went through an approval process. We all know he can switch up a setlist like nobody, so who knows what is in store for this world-wide tour? Some songs did better in certain parts of the world and I think the setlist will reflect that from time to time. One show at a time for this kid. Whoever described Singapore as eunuch, I mean, harsh. I don't get why everyone is not whirling around like dervishes that Adam HAS a world tour??? All this clothes bashing....when it gets to bitching about Adam wearing sandals, this style police stuff has just gone too far. And I think the cherry blossom suit is totes appropriate for Asia. Adam thinks of these things. IMO the more crap he hears about what he wears, the more tunics we are gonna see...j/s... I hope Adam hasn't read this thread the last few days here..I've seen some real slams, not just 'I don't like', but mean comments. When did we get so ultra-critical? This should be lollie time, damnit. Somebody go get Hoppers... Methinks we have gotten too spoiled. Thank you vivlite I know that it is personal opinions but most of it is very critical, I know I can scroll but it still is very disheartening sorry, not sorry.

This is my favorite performance so far of "The Original High" - his look, his hot leather pants - just the whole package. Enjoy youtu.be/n46pzVaSlms
