Oh, and I'm sure someone (or many someones) has already said it, but a year ago tomorrow, Adam was in Helskinki doing his GNT concert there, and well... we all know what happened afterwards, and tomorrow he'll be on an international stage, and when I try to wrap my mind around his beautiful, epic life, it breaks a little... And dammit, WHYYYYYY do we still not have a good "happy tears" smiley???? Is it cuz I'd be abusing it? I promise I wouldn't use it more than once or twice or more a week!!!!!! Will this one do?

IMO when Adam sang with Queen on Idol he was a contestant on a reality show. Tomorrow he is the vocalist Queen requested to stand with them on a world stage. Vast difference, at least to me.

I started to think, too, that will be no old legends. if someone like bowie, for example, would have been there, who has not performed at such a big event for so many years, I would have expected that someone would have slipped something. But it was only Adam mentioned. And then there is this tweet with A special guest. Brian May seemed to be very impressed by Adam, so maybe he (and the rest of band) decided to give Adam this exposure, give him the chance to show the world his talent. I don't think it's about giving Adam a chance... well maybe a bit.. but they have to perform and they don't have their frontman. They know Adam from AI and know exactly his vocal ability.... rather than calling Paul Roger to perform with them.. they called Adam.. IMO Back in the day when TfM was released Dr. Brian May was berting like the best of them, remember this? webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:QqK627HryTgJ:new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/musictoob/19324/queen-guitarist-brian-may-goes-bananas-for-adam-lambert/+&cd=4&hl=fi&ct=clnkMay decided to post after hearing a rough cut of Lambert's single, recorded for the upcoming movie 2012. "It's truly sensational. In fact it's so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it," he gushed. It's no small feat impressing a man who spent the '70s backing up Freddie Mercury--another fabulously talented singer.. "I am not kidding. I'm not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists, but Adam's voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world," May continued. "It's an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of rock has a bright new star."

I get the excitement but it's not like this is the first time he'll sing with Queen ??? If Bowie showed up then I'd be with Buder, legit pissing myself with the flail. Not that I won't flail over him performing with Queen too but he's did this 2 years ago on Idol. Sorry no offence or anything, but idol is in the idol bubble. No one in the real world knows about it, at least not in Europe. No one in Europe really knows that Adam sang with Queen. Only those who follow him and stan him. So YES it is a HUGE thing that he's performing on the EMA's with Queen. Huge platform, huge screen. THIS is validation for the rest of the world. For the world in pop rock music. No comparison IMO. ITA, Gelly. Now he's out in the world with the big guns; this is HUGE, a validation that he's taken seriously as an (global) artist. Guise, he's gonna have the longevity he's craving for. His star is on the rise... I see big things in his future and I'm so glad I'm here for the ride.

And all this makes sense no matter WHO Adam will meet and sing with and we know that there is something major going down, because just for Adam alone this secrecy just would not make sense. I am still somewhere holding my breath that the "Under Pressure" scenario will unfold, Bowie and all....hoping....hoping....hoping. If it does, that certainly would justify both the secrecy and the separate arrival plans big time. At least that is my theory and I am sticking to it. Love love love your theory. If Adam is not singing an unknown song from Queen/Freddie, this would be my "next best thing". But again, whatever happens, I'm cool with it: Adam's gonna SING!!! On TV!!! YAY!!!

Well, this is the way I look at it. Adam is very happy and excited about this. Regardless of what it ends up being, if he is happy, I'm happy. I feel the same way. It's another opportunity for Adam to be in the same line-up with the GREATS; so even the fact that he is there and most likely performing in some capacity is a WIN. He can network, he's getting ready for the single promo's (showcase for the UK stations, maybe). So it's all good. BTW, regarding Gaga, I do not mind her being there and singing, at least she CAN sing live, unlike some other big names... so, I'm looking forward to be entertained. YMMW.
