I don't think anyone here knows who is good for Adams band or not. Personally I saw no difference with Brian, why should I? I am not in the industry what the heck do I know lol. All I know is Adam can sing haha. I don't think its something to concern ourselfs with as fans. I am sure Adam well hire solid muscians to back him, when he performs his single on tv. When the need arises. Hey im in for a Taylor/Adam collab. i don't understand why AL fans are againgst it. She maybe a bit too vanilla for Adam. But hey does it matter? Could be fun, its not that deep haha but thats just me. I don't claim to know who is "good for Adam's band" but that is different than making a relative quality judgment. I can't speak for you but I can hear the difference between Kevin and Brian on keys. And IMO Zac Baird is extraordinary. Another accompanist who I really enjoyed with Adam was Michael Orland.

Didn't Brian London (and maybe Tommy and Ashley) do some kind of KickStarter shortly after the Trespassing tour ended? Yes, it got funded, and then the project went over budget and Brian asked fans to PayPal him money. Here it is: /posts I don't know if the project was ever finished but the filming was completed in 2013. Brian and Tommy Joe also recorded and released an album together -- Brian London featuring Tommy Joe Ratliff: www.last.fm/music/Brian+London+&+Tommy+Joe+Ratliff

I don't know if it was Brian as music director or simply that they never figured out how to make that music work live, but it was noticeable drop in quality from GNT. For me personally, his mindless chatter during the songs had no place or purpose. That should have been stopped. Collab. with Taylor, I could get behind that. Arguably the most popular and prolific female in pop music today, well respected, huge fan base, the current it girl. It is a collab. not a duet, the vocal abilities don't need to match nor do styles or even genre. In fact the contrasts are what make a collaboration interesting. His exposure in a collab like that could be huge. Would he want to do such a collab? who knows.

images.shazam.com/ios/US/webpid/53536144/size/400 ARTIST Adam Lambert BIOGRAPHY Before becoming a front-runner in the eighth season of American Idol, Adam Lambert made his name in the theater world, where he performed alongside Val Kilmer in the debut production of Ten Commandments: The Musical and landed an understudy role in a touring production of Wicked. The California native then parlayed his theater background into a multi-month run on American Idol in 2009. Lambert's flair for neo-goth clothing and eclectic arrangements made him a critical favorite, as did his dramatic tenor vocals. Following performances of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," Tears for Fears' "Mad World," and Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," Lambert found himself pitted against Kris Allen in the grand finale, which he ultimately lost by a slim margin. Lambert was unanimously praised by the American Idol judges, however, who all but guaranteed him a successful recording career following the show's conclusion... Although Lambert didn't win the Idol competition, he received far more attention than his castmates during the following months, during which he appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in June ("I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," he stated in the accompanying article, thus putting an end to the public's speculation) and elicited standing ovations during the summer-long American Idol tour. He also signed with RCA and began recording his debut album, working alongside producer Rob Cavallo while soliciting material from the likes of Lady Gaga, Linda Perry, Justin Hawkins, and RedOne. One month before For Your Entertainment's release, Lambert unveiled his first single, a track from the 2012 soundtrack titled "Time for Miracles." His debut album followed in late November (arriving one week after the release of Kris Allen's own debut) and sold close to 200,000 copies during its first week, outdoing new releases by Rihanna and Lady Gaga in the process. Meanwhile, a risqué performance at the American Music Awards -- during which Lambert kissed his male keyboardist and danced suggestively with both sexes -- helped gather additional headlines, not to mention a fair amount of controversy. Lambert's five-song EP Acoustic Live!, featuring stripped-down versions of songs from For Your Entertainment as well as the Tears for Fears cover "Mad World," was released in December of 2010. The following year, Lambert delivered the concert album/DVD Glam Nation Live, featuring performances recorded during the Indianapolis, Indiana stop of his 2010 Glam Nation tour. Lambert's full-length sophomore effort, Trespassing, was released in 2012, with the album featuring a bevy of big-name collaborators including Bruno Mars, Nikka Costa, Sam Sparro, and Pharrell Williams. It hit number one but sold fewer copies than For Your Entertainment, and Lambert announced in 2013 that he was leaving RCA. He returned several times to American Idol, however, and also announced in 2014 that he would tour with Queen during the summer. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi DISCOGRAPHY

Agree with Q3 on Zac. Also, I consider many of us fans qualified to pass judgement on the band. I don't care about their personalities, only their musicianship. The last drummer was not great. He didn't do a proper reggae beat when it was required. He seemed pretty pedestrian to me. He didn't have sparkle in his playing.

His exposure in a collab like that could be huge. Would he want to do such a collab? who knows. At some of the 2012-2013 shows the band was excellent like San Diego State Fair and Paso Robles. Some show the band were not as excellent like Pittsburgh Pride. That would argue for something other than "they never figured out how to make the music work live." I think things started to get a bit off track when Brian and Tommy Joe started to work on their side project Brian's album (April 2013 on), and Brian began to focus more on his solo career. Tommy Joe seemed to stay pretty much the same the whole time. In any case, I did not like all the talking on stage. (Chatter is a good word.) And I did not think much of Brian London's voice on back up, and he often was late on his cues, and sometimes he was too loud -- like the Jimmy Kimmel Show 2012 performance of "Broken English".

Thank you Betty for the yummy birthday cakes. The strawberry theme made me forget the cold winter day and reminded me that warmer weather will eventually find its way to Wisconsin. Additionally, thank you franki13, kagmel, and cheriemelissa (hi to you too, old friend) for the birthday well wishes. I seldom post but I am here EVERY SINGLE DAY and I read the entire thread with NO scrolling!!! I have so enjoyed the hours and hours I have spent with you all and I will be here following Adam as long as I am physically and mentally able to do so. My DH jokingly asked me how long I intend to keep up this "hobby" of mine and I told him, "Until someone pries this laptop from my cold, dead fingers!!!" I am so thrilled that at my age I can still be fascinated, mesmerized, and moved by an artist and by all of you posters as well. I am ready for the next leg of our journey!
