I didn't see but did you say if you are in the UK or in the US? I'm not sure which you are worried about. There's no real need for ALN to become a "hit" or top 10 to be successful or to lead into another single. A 2nd single doesn't have the same excitement and push up front as the first one that's released just as even fans are hearing about it. But if it's numbers that are causing you worry then come on over to the numbers thread. We are happy to discuss number angst over there. I'm in US. Where in numbers thread? This forum is confusing to navigate. Here ya go. www.adamtopia.com/board/25/numbers-keeping-track-adam& welcome!

I think everyone here is streaming/supporting the hell out of ALN. The issue is not that we can't play our faves on the CD. It just that we're getting worried about ALN's lingering lack of success. I'll refrain from elaborating on my reasons on why I don't see ALN becoming a hit (unless u want me to) to avoid upsetting the fans. There was at least some momentum with GT, and it was slowly getting into people's playlists and DJ sets. ALN seems to be stagnant even after appearances on 2 biggest UK TV shows, something that GT didn't get. A month after official radio release and over 2 months after Video debut and promo. What's scary is people saying there won't be another single if this flops. Who made that rule? With that thinking there wouldn't have been WWFM after the disastrous response to FYE! They knew they fucked up once and put their bet on the next one. Wouldn't it be worse if they exhaust too much of their resources and time on beating what may end up being a dead horse, while GT's success and Adam's reputation as a hit maker fades away? It does not mean we have given up kicking ALN to move Just wanted to respond to a few things in this post -- > I am not worried about ALN. I don't believe many fans are worried about it. > ALN will not be a hit in the UK but that has nothing to do with North America or many other countries. But TOH is selling in the UK -- and continues to sell. WB marketing plan is designed to sell the album and to maximize revenue from licensing and streaming. > I doubt anyone here will get upset if you post that you believe ALN is not a hit -- but many will be upset if you extend your personal view to "we" and to "fans." Also, posters who are knowledgeable about US radio airplay, streaming media patterns and track sales will disagree with you and support that with facts. We are headed into the holiday freeze on US radio -- nothing will move much until January -- but with over 100 radio stations playing ALN on CHR and HAC it will go up. ALN will move into the Top 40 on CHR within 3 weeks -- and it has months to go. > I have no idea who "the people" are who are saying there won't be another single if this (ALN) flops -- but that is not how the music business or US radio works. My expectation is that ALN will not peak on US radio until March/April 2015 possibly keyed to a performance on American Idol. Setting up TOH as #3 and a summer hit. WB Promo did not work to get ALN on 100 radio stations -- including 14 new playlist ads this week -- because they plan on backing off on promoting this song. The only Top 20 market in the world that may not get another single is the UK. But they could give it one more shot. "People" are the ones who said there won't be another single if ALN doesn't succeed. "We" are the ones who got accused of not supporting "ALN" What about OZ? Last time he performed GT on the Voice it dominated all charts in OZ. When he performed ALN on XF no one batted a lash? How are you sure it will eventually peak? I think waiting until April to see if it will "maybe" catch on is a lost opportunity while there are other songs with better hit potential. Releasing another single won't get the last good single dropped from the radio, it may as well boost it like it does for other big artists with 2 active singles at a time. It may divide fans streaming efforts, but ultimately the fan clubs' streaming isn't that much to make or break a single as it's apparent with ALN. GT is still getting 200k-300k views/streams daily long after fan club abandoned it and moved on to ALN.

Are Shame and These Boys targeted to a younger demo? Just saying are they targeted to a younger crowd, compared to.the main.tracks? As it is i thought the Bts felt like left overs on a very solid, contemporary pop album. Young fan here! Just signed up to say what makes you even debate bonus tracks when there are album single candidates with major young appeal in your face...THE LIGHT...Hello! Also TOH can appeal to the young Thought a young voice is needed here as the fan community seems to be dominated with older fans not very in touch with what young people are digging rn The main reason The Light needs to get released, beside it being my absolute jam, is its definite young appeal! It's exactly the kind of catchy cool dance track young club kids will eat up! Any non-fan in US I played it for was immediately sold. Some DJ friends so wanted it in their set. It will murder in the clubs! Something that even TOH won't have a chance of without some overkilled weird remixes that won't work well. Regarding bonus tracks...No and no. After Hours is the sexy catchy one with young appeal if it had more to it to be single material I'm late to weigh in but I can't resist applauding your honest "assessment". As much as I love(!) TOH as a song, I think the other favorite of mine, "The Light", has the edge to be the next single. It just has that irresistible hook for me both on the record and when performed live. About "After Hours"...right on!!!

This would indicate a 25 minute set... Previously that is about what I thought he might get when mixed in the middle of the evening...but as a headliner at the end 25 minutes seems short...or due to so many performing--- maybe shorts sets occur, for all performers. Is this like the Canadian Video Awards where A and B stages are side by side and they alternate performers to avoid any down time???? Related to the M and G...where do you think Adam fits in? Adam is not "the" headliner -- he is closing the show. Two different things. The billing has Adam #3 -- after Robin Thicke and Shawn Mendes. Here is the M&G schedule: Alessia Cara M+G – 5:20pm § Becky G M+G – 5:40pm § Charlie Puth M+G – 6:00pm § Jocelyn Alice M+G – 6:20pm § Omi M+G – 6:40pm § Shawn Mendes M+G – 7:15pm § Nathan Sykes M+G – 8:00pm § Adam Lambert M+G – 8:20pm § Robin Thicke M+G – 8:40pm § Silento M+G – 9:10pm Hmmm. Robin Thicke's meet and greet's while Adam's on stage? I wonder who wants to meet him. I used to think he's good looking but now I think he's creepy and a douche.

If the posted schedule is correct Adam stage time is 9:35, so all M&G are over by then...so they can all go and listen to the master...and learn

I never get sick of listening to Adam, the same songs over and over again. I never get sick of watching him, over and over again. I keep asking myself if I have ever been this attached to my husband. Yes, of course I have. But there is something about Adam that wraps me in warmth and happiness, joy and beauty. I wish I could know what that extra thing he was born with is and how do you get it? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could feel this for other people we may not be so crazy about. Just to be part of Adam's life and Atop gives me peace and happiness. It is such a strange deal - this loving Adam Lambert. I hardly ever post, but I lurk here every day. I had to reply to your post because it reflects exactly how I feel! the depth of my emotions about Adam are so strong and confusing. I can't understand how I can feel so passionately about someone I've never met. I have a wonderful busy life and I got along just fine BA ( before Adam ) but I don't think I could now. Or at least I don't want to! Listening to Adam sing or just talk, watching him perform, and being part of this fandom bring me peace and joy. I've been to 10 concerts so far, including two with Queen and Thursday in Worcester and can hardly wait for the TOH tour. There, I said it! addiction of the best kind...I feel blessed to have succumbed to its grasp
