O/T -- but this is David Bowie giving out an award in 1975. If you have never seen it, it is pretty amazing. youtu.be/CT79ysge1bMBowie, through all his incarnations, was a class act. I saw an earlier interview right after his death and he just exuded a quiet charm. Last night Gaga reduced his music and persona to a bad Elvis impersonator level and left me with "what was she thinking"! The person I feel bad for is Niles. He had to suffer through her performance and then not have his name mentioned when whoever it was was talking about funk, at the end of the show. I was no longer paying attention and was lunging for the remote before PB made it to the stage.

I lied...still here...client late...now I love Bowie as much as the next but he had his weird moments too....

O/T -- but this is David Bowie giving out an award in 1975. If you have never seen it, it is pretty amazing. youtu.be/CT79ysge1bMFor all of how many here were beating up on Gaga yesterday, she is still the only pop artist really putting themselves out there these days and I suppose that is what I loved so much about her performance. I agree it was pretty frenetic at times...but damn, it was daring. I hate seeing Adam keeping his performing down low, so to speak. He was wonderful at the Grammy party, but he has done that in a far more exciting way many times...the first half of the performance was especially controlled....this is definitely not the same man who thrilled us all with WLL at Fantasy Springs...and a little of me misses that, even though I understand.... I agree, it was very brave...It was almost like she was channelling Bowie, or trying to mimic his moves, and I've never seen her like that before so I thought it looked a little awkward, but I don't want to take away from her what she put into it and in a way, she pulled it off. It wasn't meant to be just her singing one of his songs, for her it was a complete celebration....And again, agreed, I can't think of anyone else who is putting themselves out there in the way she does, in mainstream music. I disagree though that Elton is as talented as Bowie, though I am a little biased...

Amaryllis @thefilmqueen 3h3 hours ago .@adamlambert mention & photo in today's @latimes article on the Clive Davis party.
Yay. I wanted to make sure this was posted. One of the best things about it is that it's part of a 2 page spread on the Grammies and he got a prominent picture and mention. Definitely leaves an impression that he was a big part of the hoopla. I was really thrilled to see it.
