Celine Dion is an artist who has always taken merticulous care of her voice and has not had any significant problems that I've ever heard of despite a 20+ year career of singing including nightly shows in Vegas etc... Thankfully Adam is aware that his voice is his instrument and that he needs to take care of it. If you look at the advice they give you have to wonder about the whole interviews and meet and greet ahead of concerts thing. I'd probably be saying no at least to interviews, but then there is the whole promotional game that you have to play. Trying to find that balance is, I imagine, work. Sorry to burst your bubble but Celine has had significant vocal issues on more than one occasion. Here is a link to an article about it: linkI stand corrected. I do like that she did the work to address her initial issues (take note Adele) and that the last issue was not technique but virus related so don't really count that one. Like anyone who relies on some physical aspect to perform getting through an entire career with no issues would be probably unheard of. But long careers with minimal disruption are possible.

Ages ago,I once mentioned Josh here and got a bit of flack,so I was a bit hesitant ..I think he's terrific. It's sad that we have to worry so much about what we post. I have been attacked and disrespected here multiple times for my unpopular views. Almost all of my female family members love Josh Groban. One said "I can tell when someone is a good singer when they give me goosebumps". Exactly how I feel about Adam. Add to that the drop-dead gorgeous looks, ability to dance, and act, and great, funny personality and I'm a goner. I also loved Adam at the EMA's. Also have gotten insulted here for "liking" another artist.

Adele? I'd call her a decent song "stylist," along the lines of some of the old standards singers. I wouldn't say she even approaches having a great voice. Of course, it's pretty subjective whether someone's voice grabs a listener, and I've been pretty vocal here about how much her voice grates on my ears! Haha! But yeah, I don't know who Adam can really be compared to in the pop world. csquared, we are in agreement. I don't think Adele has a great voice either. IMO, overrated big time. Only a few female voices I thought were great but I only one I've seen live. I'm sure a lot of people won't like my tastes. And it's not necessarily about range. Whitney Houston in her prime, Barbra Streisand (who I saw live recently and she was flawless), and Eva Cassidy (great interpreter, many genres) who has been dead for 20 years. If you've never heard of her, check out her Over the Rainbow. She sold 10 million records posthumously, including 3 UK #1s. Love Eva Cassidy - my favorite song that she covers is Fields of Gold - it is sublime. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UVjjcOUJLE

Don't feel insulted. They are only words and a point of view. There are many points of view. It is very easy to "throw" words when you are not seen.

Add to that the drop-dead gorgeous looks, ability to dance, and act, and great, funny personality and I'm a goner. What I do when I post an unpopular view like I did last week after the Grammys when I said that Adam wasn't the greatest at the EMAs w/Queen and he tried to hard (ie something very easy to do at award shows like many of us thought Gaga did), is walk away for a couple of hours. Then when people disagree with me, as many did, I don't feel the need to argue my point to the naysaysers because by that time there are also a few "yeah that"s in the mix too. Part of opinion flinging is seeing what sticks and if noone ever flings what they think might be an unpopular opinion then they'll never see if there are some other free thinkers out there too. Thanks, Jablea. I can handle differences of opinions but some people try to belittle you, make you feel stupid for having the opinion that you do, chide you, and even tell you to shut up, which I just don't think is cool. Oddly enough I looked back at the thread and before I expressed my opinion, someone prominent on the site had the exact same opinion, but was not attacked at all. I also believe that had my unpopular opinion had been about Adam instead of another artist, I think it would have been a different story.

If anyone ever thinks they have been insulted on Adamtopia, I hope you will contact a mod thru PM or report the post. Respect for fellow members is a cornerstone for this forum, and all the mods take their responsibilities seriously.
Having said that, there is a difference between strongly disagreeing with a post and insulting the poster. We should all feel free to express opinions, even contrary ones. The truth is, except for loving Adam, we don't all agree on much of anything in music, fashion, politics, or even whether cats or dogs are better pets. We welcome divergent opinions on this forum - even encourage them. However, if you post an opinion, please expect that someone will disagree or express the opposite view.
For example, if Q3 says she doesn't understand how anyone could think the aqua board shorts look good, she is NOT implying that aqua board shorts people have no taste or are stupid. She is simply saying her mind cannot conceive of a world where aqua board shorts on Adam look good. No insults intended.
I encourage folks who find their opinions hotly debated or questioned to take a deep breath, and, if necessary, to step away from the computer and take a walk with your dog (or cat, or parakeet, or iguana or other pet of your preference). You will enjoy this playground much more if you operate from the presumption that others are not attacking or insulting you personally. We just are some strongly opinionated people who like a little lively discussion.
Again, if you think someone has crossed the line and attacked you personally beyond just disagreeing with your perspective, please contact a mod. For the rest, just sigh, shake your head, and scroll. It's all good.

Thought adam killed it at emas but that's just me. For his first time and quick rehearsal, it was AMAZING! Sure made a lot of people sit up and take notice of him for the first time! ❤️❤️❤️ I was blown away by the EMA's. He was fabulous! Of course none of us expected that huge of a performance.
