I agree with you it was a great show but please do not get mad at the streamer. Thanks for the stream Q3! Was this show sold out? Sure seemed packed. They were still selling tix at show time but it had to be close to the limit. It was a GA concert. I was up front I could not see the back of the venue. Mellimom or Dancy might have a better idea. Y

The Adam and Sam picture made it to the Netherlands as well. Headline: Sam Smith and Adam Lambert in love?
A lot of speculation in the article. Translation: There seems to be something blooming between Sam Smith and Adam Lambert. The two world-famous singers were already good friends for a while, but now insiders claim that there is happening more between the men. The men were last weekend together at a nightclub in New York, where witnesses claimed they only had eye for each other. ,, They constantly took selfies and could barely keep their hands off each other.'' That the two hold each other high is shown by the fact that Sam visited a concert by Lambert in New York last week, after the latter earlier this year was with a performance by Smith. The two openly gay singers are both still officially single.

I was at the show in Charlotte and it was great I'm thinking that streaming and videoing should no longer be allowed. The fury by a few over the set list and time just ruined what I considered a wonderful performance. Folks leaving loved the show. Never in my life have I judged a show by its length or how many songs were sung a great performance was all I cared about. I think I need to take a break from adamtopia. It has become a downer for me It would be so bad if there would not be any videos anymore, even if the videos are just two or three songs per concert. I like the videos because everytime he changes something. The daughter of my Neighbour is a Swifty (Taylor Swift Fan), she is 17 years old and live and breathe on social media. These Fans get lucky if they even get two videos of a concert from Swift. They are not allowed to Periscope. They pay, well mostly the Parents pay, way over Hundred Euros AND SWIFT CAN'T SING that good. I understand everyone that is disappointed, but like it was earlier said, when you are IN the Concert it really doesn't seem to matter how many songs were sung, what mattery seems for all of these happy fans that this show was done in high Quality. JMHO Melliemom, don't leave us please.

To answer some of the questions....I think the shortest headlining show I've ever seen has clocked in at about an hour and 25 minutes. ...Someone mentioned Adele. According to a recent review I read about her latest tour, she "played 18 songs over two hours." I was at the Charlotte concert and it was worth what I spent. No complaints from me. It was as long as I expected it to be when I bought my tix. Comparable to GNT US. I saw Adele in concert and she performed 18 songs over about 90 minutes but she sang for only about 65 minutes. There were long breaks between songs. Same as Sam Smith. Adam takes 2 breaks for costume changes but did 3 continuous blocks of singing. It makes it very intense. I can't think of any other solo artist who does a show like this. More like an EDM DJ show in construction. **** A couple of other thoughts... 1. I momentarily got bitchy feeling when I realized this was the set list without the extra songs. Thankfully I shook it off and enjoyed the show. 2. I streamed this concert. Adam knew I was streaming the show - I was right in front of him and he saw my scr een. He knows we do this. The streams are a gift. No one pays for them.

It is the core fans who listen to the streams who seem to be most disappointed. ETA Seems like mostly an issue here and a bit on Twitter. Not seeing very many upset perps anywhere else.

It has become a downer for me Thank you! While I wasn't at this show (I'll be at both Chicago and Detroit) and I certainly appreciate all of the fabulous streams and videos, I, too, have been frustrated by all of the negativity over set length. I understand hoping for a lengthy concert, but, for me, the unpredictability of live events is part of what makes them exciting. No two live events are ever alike. I think that being able to listen to so many shows "live" via technology, while amazing and fun, also enables us, for better or worse, to compare and become arm chair critics. If this were even a decade ago, the only concert(s) we would be able to experience would be the one(s) we were physically attending. Unless we were reading local papers from each venue area, we would have no idea how long each concert was lasting, what songs were sung in which order, what outfits were worn, etc. I love being able to follow along on tour, but I'm excited to know from the glowing comments of those actually at these concerts that they ALL seem to be spectacular in person.

Adam knew I was streaming the show - I was right in front of him and he saw my scr een. He knows we do this. The streams are a gift. No one pays for them. Yes, it's a matter of personal preference. Some people would rather get a high-octane, nonstop show and are satisfied with that kind of performance even it's over and done in 70 minutes. As I said before, I like to actually spend a little more time, and get a greater sense of interaction with the artist I'm paying to see, and to get the feeling that they want to spend time with their audience. That live experience with them in the same shared space is what makes the show more special to me and different from just listening to a CD or watching a concert DVD. And, again, I just don't believe the stated reason for the shorter sets and, again, if they contracted for shorter sets in some venues and not others then I believe, in fairness, that the ticket prices should reflect that fact. From the reviews of her concert, Adele does chat more and spends time connecting with her audience in other ways. That doesn't require as much physical energy as Adam's sets, but is probably also tiring on the voice. I don't want more chatting than singing from Adam, but I'd take it if it meant spending more time with him at the show. Letting it go now. What will be will be.

So many of Bridgey's astute observations about other concert styles and their "time stretchers" points to me that his energy is so much a part of his concert experiences, that losing that energy with these "rest" periods would stall his show. I think a simple solution would be to do the Runnin medley OR the Shady medley at each concert. Don't get me wrong, I hope to see both in my one concert in Nashville this week, but I think if fans got at least one of the two medleys the show would be more satisfying for the time-sensitive fans. YMMV Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/3628/16-toh-tour-fillmore-charlotte?page=28&scrollTo=727804#ixzz42DrnOkpU I just brought this comment to the live thread after posting on the dead one, because my ideas are SO important! Yes this is sarcasm.
