Here. This pic from Bali. I don't know how to post pics on here. It's no big deal. Someone was talking about his ribcage and it came to mind. It's not a criticism or anything lol. Just something I noticed years ago. And I'm not the only one. It's been talked about in other comms. There was a pic from Israel or the next show where it was noticeable also. One in the lace tank with his arms spread. I can't find it mobile.twitter.com/xhollyglambertx/status/359667314922237952Ummm, if one is slender and lying down the ribs do that. And on women, the hip bones will also pop up. Isn't that normal? It won't happen on chubby people, but it will for slim ones. I agree pattihum! Adam does not have flared ribs!!

Adam does not have flared ribs. Pretty sure he does If you are referring to the congenital defect of flared ribs, Adam does not have this and, if he did, in the US it is usually corrected in the a child's first three years with a brace. My younger sister was born with flared ribs which were corrected when she was an infant. I am certain Adam does not have flared ribs. If he had flared ribs, his ribs would stick out when he was standing -- they do not. Adam does seem to have large lungs which is one reason he can hit such powerful notes and maintain such precise breath control. I will leave the "flaring your ribs while singing" -- something very different and a technique some vocalists use to increase their breath control to our vocal experts. That is very different. And, while I recall my vocal coach saying those words to me, I still have no idea what he was trying to get me to do. I also think this is a very dated vocal concept but I took my last vocal lesson over 40 years ago. Frankly, although Adam has a barrel chest, he is tall but not a big man and he does not have a large torso. (He is certainly not built like a typical operatic tenor.) Every time I have seen him up close, I have been struck by how thin/lean he is. He looks bigger on stage and in video.

Search on Google and you will find pictures of flared ribs. It is a specific medical condition. I assume that the other people talking about this are not familiar with the condition and just using an incorrect label. Adam has a relatively large chest (and presumably large lungs). It is why he can sing the way he can sing. Singers have larger lung capacities than non-singers. There is research that vocal training and practice and use increases lung capacity and lung size. The same thing happens with swimmers and musicians who use their lungs.

He looks much "bigger" on stage then when standing right next to him. The height is still there, but his slimness always surprises me.

OT OT.. LOL.. It's connected to Adam I promise. I just saw a YT video of Michelle Obama on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. And she's wearing a big pants up to her waist exactly just like Adam's black pants.. http s://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiMUoVjQ5uI High-waisted wide leg pants are one of the fashion trends for women right now.

Please listen to the beauty of this recording. This video is fantastic. It has both WWTLF and TSMGO back to back, and is using the zoom to film at times close up, and at times across the whole audience. The visual effects during WWTLF are stunningly captured. It has only 40 views, so I think it may be new to many here, even though I cannot read the whole thread backwards right now. It's 27 pages already. Heads-up: Adam does get a tad lost during TSMGO, but I always find it just as interesting to see how he sings around things, until he finds his way back, as I find it, when all goes perfectly. I don't really mind. And I love that he quite regularly now takes certain vocal passages down rather than up. Makes the remaining moments really shine, and the overall effect is one of everlasting interest and masterful control. www.youtube.com/watch?v=na-QOeLy1sA

He is surprisingly thin and tall looking -- his proportions are striking -- in a pleasant way, sort of like the way Tolken describes the tall elves.
